So, Do You Consider Favre A Late Round Grab?

Lazy ass piece of shit. Get out there and work like the rest of them. I don't care if you're a 400 year veteran, it doesn't give you the right to skip all the hard team building work. Douche. Die.

The great Jackie Slator did this for the last 6 or 8 years of his 20 year career he would say he is thinking about retiring until the last preseason game of the year
You know the Vikings gave him the play book and told him if Sage and Tavaris suck in the first Preseason game we will be calling you so he is up on all the plays

Knowing the plays is great. How about chemistry between QB and WR?

Kevin and Pat Williams are superstars too. They know the plays. Why don't they get to skip training camp?

This is total crap. I'm so sick of Favre love. Wake up and smell the BS guys. Favre had an agenda from day 1 of being traded by Green Bay. He wanted to prove some macho prideful point to the Packers, and he wanted to do it without having to do the work that comes with it in training camp.

I hope some Green Bay pass rusher blind sides Brett favre and freaking paralyzes him.

Success will improve chemistry more quickly than just about anything else. I think Minny will get along just fine.

Because at this point they will be skipping part of the season.

Favre's agenda has been clear to all so there is nothing new when he decides to pursue that agenda without putting his recovering body through all the vigors of preseason. Your disgust with the drama is understandable but there seems to be more to your vendetta against the guy that you are not revealing.

I could go either way on this. Does Favre actually have anything left in the tank? How will the receivers adapt to Favre just slinging the ball? And will they let Farve wear his Wrangler jeans instead of football pants? Because he's only comfortable in Wrangler.

Thats going thru my head also. I can't believe he has much left, esp last all 16 games. All the errant throws and bad passes will be blamed on the WRs since Favre is Favre. They should have been there and they ran the wrong route and how many more excuses will they think of to cover Favres incompetance and ability to compete at such a high level.

I think we just have to decide weather Favre is better then who will be throwing the ball. Will Favre be ok with a manager type roll and allow the running game to dominate? Would u draft Favre over Sage or Jackson?

He can't be better than what Minny has right now.

This is exactly right. He has been going back and forth over the last 2 months. He's just been avoiding the 2 a days and the training camps.

Can't believe he is doing all this just too try and stick it to GB and the city of GB and its people who for so many years supported him and a place where he made his legacy. He is being so childish about all this. He is having so many issues with just letting it go.

In the long run the Vikes are disabled for another year, Favre brings nothing to the table, he's only there to feed his own ego.

Exactly correct there. His ego will get the best of him.

I suspect you will find yourself being wrong.

He may have the bottom fall out like last year in New York but he definitely upgrades the position and their chances of advancing in the postseason.

I can't believe he helps Minny at all. Once the newness wears off of him being there and the team realizes they are worse off with him, they might not be so happy to have him around at the time. What happens when one of his 4000 int this year loses them the chance of the post season ? His stats against GB will be interesting to see. 2 tds and 5 int in each game but he did throw for 400 yds.

I can't believe this... what's the over/under on whether Favre puts us all through a tortured fake retirement next year, too?

After this year, i am willing to bet he retires for good. All along he just wanted to stick it to GB for letting him go and not let him play this game on them. After he gets his chance to play GB he will be satisfied and finally go away. If not, i have tonya harding on speed dial.

Green Bay will put a stomping on him in the pocket and intercept him all day as long as they can stop AP

Favre has already been designated by HC as starter for their next pre-season game.

Anyone who does not think he has been learning the play book so he is ready is insane.

This was planned. He wanted time to heal, not show the injury, and not go through camp. All that said, he still makes the Vikes better.

Ratings will go thru the roof when Min/GB play their two games, esp at Lambeau field. Not a fan of either team but i will watch both games just too see if Favre can get his wanted revenge.

Some good could still come from this.

They can finally put Tavaris Jackson out of his misery.

Farve will get to taste what it's like to NOT be the most heralded player in the backfield.

The purple uniforms will go well with his grey hair and varicose veins.

On the local radio yesterday they were saying the Vegas Odds of Min winning the SB went from 28/1 to 14/1 with the Favre signing

Odds on winning the NFC went from 12/1 to 6/1

Pretty big jumps

IF they keep both DTs in the Williams twins, and the O-line stays healthy, they are absolutely solid. They made it a ton last year, with no real Qb. Now they at least have a guy who has been there, and won't panic. I think they are clearly the best in the north right now.

Cutler makes Chicago better as well, but the defense has been sliding.

This could be a huge one two punch type season in the NFC north.

Was there a whole history of Favre missing games that I've forgotten about? I think Favre plays every game even if he has to start throwing left handed. I also think that this time around Favre will be elevated by someone else rather than him having to elevate the rest of his team. AD makes Favre be better than you all think IMHO. I don't think he's a top 5 QB or anything, but the respect AD demands gives Brett time that he hasn't had in years.
