NO, desicion was made back in '05 and they should stick with it. If allowed to do so, no acheivement made in college would be safe.

no...bush earned it and the allegations he/the school are dealing with include nothing to enhance performance

also, this is nothing compared to Simpson and there hasnt been one word of stripping his trophy. hell, Id bet if you look at a majority of the trophy holders rap sheet you could make a claim for their trophies as well.

let it go

Vince Young should have gotten it over the part time running back to begin with.

Even the concept of this compares to having your college degree taken away because your late on a loan payment.

Totsl BS. They had the balls to take away the heisman 5 yrs later, WTF? Its now a damaged useless BS award to me now. NCAA really choked the chicken on this one. So stupid.

The difference is the others didnt get caught violating major NCAA rules.

Im fine with this either way it goes.

Why the heisman is awarded:
The outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity.

So yes, they should give it to V10

Revvin' for Seven!!
Report say though that they will leave the winner for 2005 vacant. So nobody gets one for that year. I agree 5 years later too bad, unless Reggie Bush did the violating.

First of all, Vince Young has already said he doesn't want it, so that should end the debate right there.

Having said that, I think they should leave the winner blank. Too many arguments can be thrown around as to who should get it instead of Bush. Let's not turn this into drama.

I would think V Young wouldn't accept it... at least, If I were one of the guys in that class, I wouldn't touch it.

this may sound altruistic and naive, but i think Reggie Bush should give the trophy to Vince Young, in person.

Bush knew he was violating the rules. He thought he would get away with it.

Plus Reggie should publicly apologize to all of the athletes that have played by the rules and didn't get rich playing college ball.

Reggie Bush is rubbing their faces in it right now.

However, this issue is like steroids in baseball. VY and others aren't jumping up claiming they took the high road right now. Maybe they smell Congress, ala Roger Clemens.

And, Vince Young pretty much showed the nation who the best player was by owning the National Championship game. End...Of....Story........

Its a tainted and worthless acheivement now. Stupid to think they can undo what has already been done 5 yrs ago by just taking it back. Damn bunch of indian givers.

Take away Matt Leinart's Heisman and give it to Bush since he really deserved it that year (team MVP, look it up). Then yank Bush's Heisman and give it to Young. While we are at it we should also pull Chris Weinke's Heisman and give it to Marques Tuiasosopo.
