Should he stay or should he go now?

Ok, please help for next year. It is a keeper league up to end of yr 5, year 6 cannot be protected. It is a must start league in that we have 2 qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, 1 te and 1 k. I can protect 6.

QB- HENNE
RB - MCCOY, STEWART
WR - MEGATRON, BOWE, MACLIN, (Malcolm FLOYD)
TE CELEK, KELLER.

I really like my TE twosome. MEGATRON is a no brainer as is BOWE. That gives me 4. Do I keep MCCOY or STEWART and MACLIN or HENNE? I will get the second overall pick next year, which I will likely take either CLAUSEN or LOCKER. Thanks fellas.

Can you keep both RBs?, because McCoy and Stewart are both great options for dynasty leagues

If i had to rank those 4 options i would go:
1-McCoy...at worst should be a 50-50 split w/ Westbrook next year, but there is a good chance he fully takes over
2-Stewart...great talent, if he gets a starting gig will be a stud
3-Maclin...a lot of talent and in a pass first offense. plenty of potential down the road
4-Henne...meh

I can keep 6 in total. I dont think HENNE either.
If I keep both RB I would have to drop either CELEK or KELLER or MACLIN.

1. JOHNSON
2. BOWE
3. MCCOY
4. STEWART
5. CELEK
6. KELLER

First of all, love The Clash reference. 5 stars for you. Now onto the analysis. McCoy is straight money and you should not part with him. Megatron also falls into that category. After that, you have options. Stewart could be good but he isn't going to supplant DeWill anytime soon. Bowe is a fat slob going the way of Mike Williams and at this point may or may not pan out. Maclin is a great talent but is on an offense that has a #1 already and the rest is up to the scheme. I like Celek and I like Henne.

So if this was me and depending on the depth usually left at the positions in your league I might protect the following:

McCoy
Megatron
Stewart (only because you can start 3 which leads me to believe your league is RB heavy)
Celek
Henne (gut feeling about he and Bowe)

I definitely would not keep 2 TEs...the position is very deep and you never know who will find their way to the top next year.

My choices would be...

Stewart/McCoy/Calvin Johnson/Bowe/Maclin/Celek

TE get 1 pt per reception WR get only .5 that is why I am looking at keeping both TE. I appreciate any and all advice!

I understand your position on this...but if you crunch the numbers, you will see keeping both TEs would be unfeasible with you only starting one per week...of course, this is ony my opinion.

I was going off the starting lineup posted in your opening post...in that case, I would consider holding onto Celek and Keller followed by McCoy/Calvin Johnson/Maclin/Bowe or Stewart...

Alright, so there is some discrepancy re: the keeping of two TE's. Based on my beliefs and your opinions, which I appreciate, I am thinking.

JOHNSON, BOWE, MACLIN, CELEK, MCCOY and either KELLER or STEWART as the 6th protectee.

Let's debate KELLER v STEWART. In my pool they currently have about the same numbers at present.

First, how many points per reception for running backs?

I do not believe Stewart is the same type of back as DWilliams and will not get the receptions which will come Keller's way. Stewart only has 13 receptions this season, while DWilliams has 26. Keller already has 37 receptions on the season and should finish with about 49 receptions, which is one more than 2008.

Advantage - Keller

Next, Stewart will likely have more yards per game than Keller...this season alone it is Stewart with 544 and Keller 458

Advantage - Stewart (though it is slight)

Stewart will likely score more TDs than Keller during the season...Stewart currently have 6, while Keller is sitting at 2.

Advantage - Stewart

Based on this information, it would be worth considering to keep Keller based on the full point you get per reception...with the assumption you receive 1 point per 10 yds (no decimal scoring), running backs get 1PPR, and a full 6 for TDs....through Week 11...

Stewart - 102 pts
Keller - 88 pts

There is only a one point swing here per week...but solid RBs would be hard to come by in a league in which you start 3...and only 2 TEs...

There is no distinction between catches and carries with Rb`s. It is strictly yards. 1 pt per 10 yds 6 points per touchdown.

McCoy and Maclin are your keepers

McCoy will take over for Westbrook in the very near future, and Maclin has proven that he is reliable
