Shooting at a Vick Birthday party

Just heard on the morning news they are thinking of cutting him. Then i read the above posts and don't know what to think. If they do release him, i could see him going to the CFL and playing there for some team.
 
This morning, it was reported on CNN that no charges will be filed in this shooting case. No witnesses will/have come forward. The report said that Vick, in fact, was not present at the time of the shooting and that he had departed the party very shortly before. The report continued to say no action against Vick was expected from his team.

Since Vick was in violation of his probation, i.e., his dog fighting co-conspirator was at his birthday party, let's see if the court does anything.

You know, some people are just plain brain dead and never learn from their mistakes. Let's see how long it is before he is in the headlines again for something stupid. It is only a matter of time, one might guess.

It was a public place. Doesn't sound like the guy was invited. He just showed up. Not Vicks fault..........
 
The police investigators know who the shooter is but will not pursue the issue yet because the witnesses are not cooperating :hmmm:

Maybe i'm missing something in the translation but it sounds a little fishy to me, am i alone my assumption ???

The Eagles are reportedly interested in Troy Smith is a fallback option if they're forced to release Michael Vick this summer.

The Eagles still don't seem likely to dump Vick, but they're covering their bases in case further details emerge in the Quanis Phillips shooting investigation. If the Smith report is true, the team appears to have moved on from free agent Jeff Garcia as a possible alternative to Vick.

An Eagles official reiterated to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora that they've seen nothing to believe that Michael Vick has violated his parole or the NFL's instructions for remaining in good standing with the league.

"We are and were aware of everything that happened with Michael in Virginia [at his 30th birthday party]," said the official. "I think confrontation is a mischaracterization of what took place." According to LaCanfora, the Eagles plan to have Vick on the roster this season "barring something being unearthed not currently known."

The NFL has completed its investigation into the shooting at Michael Vick's birthday party and has cleared Vick to play.

Vick was never a suspect in the case, but his mere presence at the scene could have put him in hot water with the league and the law. As the Eagles open training camp, this news comes as a big relief for Vick. It should also scuttle rumors that Vick was going to be cut -- he's now entrenched as Kevin Kolb's backup.

Vick has worn out his welcome and will soon be out of the NFL.
