Shepard Traded to the Jets

The Philadelphia Eagles completed their expected trade of cornerback Lito Sheppard on Satuday, sending him to the New York Jets for two undisclosed draft picks.
Sources told ESPN.com Friday night that the Eagles are believed to be receiving a middle-round choice in the 2010 draft and conditional 2011 draft choice. The level of the 2011 choice will be determined by a number of factors, including Sheppard's 2009 playing time

With Rex at the helm I think we can look forward to a nasty defense in NY in the coming years, perhaps at the sacrifice of offensive production. Rex might prefer to use the system that worked well in Bmore.....stingy defense, power running, minimize mistakes in the passing game, own the clock and wear them down.

Why all the hype for sheppard? He was at best the third best cb on the Eagles team...and that is a reach. He isn't the sheppard that went to the probowl jets fans.

true but major upgrade over Lowery and they dont have to reup Ty Law.
