I have been gone for a few days. What happened here? ......and does it have legs? From all I can gather is Sapp popped off without anything to back it up.
Problem is, the NFL Network, and to a lesser extent ESPN, is perfectly content with putting loudmouth former players on their flagship telecasts. Sapp always looks like he's about to come across the table at whomever he's addressing, even when he's not visibly spun up. (not often) Irvin and Deion are basically carbon copies of each other. 2 guys who routinely slip into slang when they're trying so very hard to sound intelligent and insightful. Kurt Warner's ok as long as you're ONLY talking about QB issues.
Sorry but this is something that's bugged me for a couple years now. It's like a slap in my face that I'll be so starstruck by the names that I can't notice that I'm really getting nothing meaningful when I watch these shows.
Thank God at least ESPN tanked Emmitt before he ruined their credibility.
