rotoworld,

Santana Moss was treated by Dr. Anthony Galea, who is being charged with smuggling muscle-building drugs into the U.S., according to the Buffalo News.

That's the bad news. The good news for Moss is that he won't face any criminal charges. Like the other athletes in this case, he's being used as a witness against Galea, not a target. Moss used Galea while treating an injury last September. Galea is accused of illegally distributing HGH, among other things. It remains to be seen if the NFL will review the case for possible disciple against Moss. May. 20 - 8:34 am et

rotoworld,

Santana Moss received human growth hormones from Dr. Anthony Galea, sources tell the Washington Post.

Though the NFL doesn't specifically test for HGH -- a flaw that must be fixed -- it is on the banned substances list. Thus, Moss could easily be suspended if commissioner Roger Goodell determines that he violated the league's drug policy. Moss will undoubtedly have to explain himself to NFL officials at some point soon. Patriots safety Rodney Harrison was suspended for four games in 2007 after he admitted to using HGH.

(nfl.com)After working on the side while rehabbing from a knee scope during the first minicamp and OTA sessions, WR Santana Moss was on the field Wednesday during practice. Coach Mike Shanahan had declined to discuss which knee Moss had surgery on, but judging by the bag of ice Moss used following practice, it's his left knee. As for the report that Moss received human growth hormone (HGH) treatments from Canadian doctor Anthony Galea, Shanahan said he's unconcerned and expects "Santana to be vindicated."

Moss acknowledged that he had been treated by this doctor, but says that he has not received anything that is banned by the NFL. Not saying I believe him, just adding what I heard today on ESPN.

(Rotoworld) Santana Moss acknowledged to teammates Wednesday that he got medical treatment from alleged HGH distributor Dr. Anthony Galea, but denied that he ever received performance enhancing drugs. Analysis: Moss admitted being treated three times by Galea, twice for his hamstring and once for his knee. "As far as the HGH or anything, he didn't say he knew what it was," said DE Phillip Daniels. "He was doing the right things, just trying to get healthy." Moss is not expected to face criminal charges, but the league could still easily suspended him for the first four games.

rotoworld,
Coach Mike Shanahan has yet to be contacted by the league regarding Santana Moss' medical treatment from alleged HGH distributor Dr. Anthony Galea.

Moss has admitted to being treated by Galea, but he denied receiving HGH. At this point, there's no indication that the league is investigating his involvement. It's far from a foregone conclusion that Moss will face a suspension to start the season.
