S Jim Leonhard signs with the Jets

Man, the Jets are just making killer upgrades on that defense this offseason. First it was Bart Scott, then a trade for Lito Sheppard, and now a second Raven joins the team in Leonhard. Anyone else think a secondary of corners Darrelle Revis and Lito Sheppard along with free safety stud Kerry Rhodes and strong safety Jim Leonhard is the best in the league? I can't think of any other secondaries I'd rather have, personally.

Rex Ryan is doing a man's man job on this Jets defense. They are going to be beastly and, if they can get a decent QB to maintain at least a semblance of offense, they'll be a very difficult team to beat!

DB, you're right. Absolutely killer lineup there. IMO, the best full secondary I can think of too.

Leonhard was expected to go to the Jet's so that isn't too big of a surprise. Important loss for the Raven's as this guy has some great skills.

Not really a loss per say for Baltimore. He was the back up for Landry...who should be back and healthy next year. they had already stated Landry would be the starter.

Agreed.

There are many who felt that Landry was not as good as Leonhard, but this was a move foreseen as necessary because keeping both was not likely a good idea.

It sure was nice to have him last year....
