S. Holmes uses cash to avoid brush with the law?

You've been wrong about men?? Do tell! :)

Ok, enough about Rachelle. Back to the subject. The woman suing Santonio Holmes over a March 7 nightclub incident has changed her mind and now wants the receiver to face criminal charges. Police have chosen to re-activate the case that was closed on Tuesday.

Ok, enough about the subject, back to Rachelle! Notice she used men in the plural form. :)

I wondered since the earlier post that said the case was closed if it couldn't in fact be reopened. Thanks for the info Coach.

The good news is that Rachelle hasn't included you in any bad sort of men catagory to the best of my knowledge.

Wow. Mud's right.... I haven't.

The point is that I like Holmes as a player and hoped he had matured beyond these unattractive and upsetting behavioral/social patterns. When evidence such as this comes to light that suggests otherwise then yes, like men before him, I would be wrong in believing he's truly course-corrected and turned over a new leaf.

As WesDawg posted earlier this young man has seen his share of trouble in the past.

From nfl.com.

Since 2006, Holmes has been charged with marijuana possession in Pittsburgh, domestic violence in Ohio and disorderly conduct in Florida. The marijuana and domestic violence charges were dropped. The disorderly conduct charge was dropped in exchange for a $250 donation to a police officers trust fund.

Ms. Mills, who has been arrested twice in the Orlando area -- she was found guilty of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence, while charges of aggravated battery, battery and trespass were dropped in another incident -- also has a criminal record in Jacksonville.
In January 2008, she was charged with trespassing at a Walmart. She pleaded no contest. She also was cited for petit theft and completed a pretrial intervention program in April 2008.

Holmes accuser will prosecute

These people lead such exciting lives.

Last night there was a lady, who appeared about to give birth on the spot, in that lane with a full buggy. After she was checked I ask the cashier why he took her in his lane. He asked me if I'd ever messed with a pregnant woman before.

I've messed with a woman who then became pregnant before, but it wasn't at Wal-Mart, it was my ex-wife, and I was sterile..

Too bad the attorney didn't believe in falling prices.

Just throwing something out in the spirit of steering the thread back to the title..

Is offering a monetary settlement in exchange for not pressing charges any different than what Stallworth did in his vehicular homicide civil case?

Personally, I think cash for silence is an acceptable settlement.

Each person benefits and it usurps our ridiculous judicial system.
