I was considering dumping RGIII to upgrade my QB position in one of my leagues. In doing this, I dug into his schedule for the rest of the year and what I found is very eye opening. First off, you have to like what we saw from him against a decent Bears D yesterday. Also, his rushing yards are back. In each of the last 2 weeks he has rushed for more yards in each game than he did in his first 4 combined. So now with RGIII looking more like RGIII, what else has me excited about his prospects?
Let's take a look at his schedule. In leagues with 4 pts per pa yds and -1 INT, here are the defenses he faces and their rank in fantasy pts allowed from QB's from now until the end of the season:
8 - Denver - 8th
9 - San Diego - 3rd
10 - Minnesota - 4th*
11 - Philly - 5th
12 - San Fran - 26th
13 - NY Giants - 2nd*
14 - Kansas City - 23rd
15 - Atlanta - 6th
16 - Dallas - 1st
17 - NY Giants - 2nd*

Most do not play in week 17, so I will not focus on that. If you do, it only builds this up more. Over the next 9 games, 7 of them will be against defenses ranked in the top 10 in pts allowed to QB! Only 2 tough match-ups in the lot. As an added bonus, he will play all 6 of the worse defenses in this category.
So when you consider RGIII's play style appearing to bounce back to the RGIII of old and the cream puff schedule that lies ahead, I am excited about what he can do down the stretch. He may be a gut to seek out if their owners have not glanced at his schedule.
