Jets | Darrelle Revis not expected to hold out Sat Jul 10, 05:10 PM
New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis is not expected to hold out of training camp because he does not want to jeopardize a future guarantee he already has in his present contract, sources have told Michael Lombardi, of NFL Network.

Jets | Revis can't afford a long holdout Sat Jul 10, 03:43 PM
ProFootballWeekly.com reports Jets CB Darrelle Revis can't afford a lengthy holdout. According to their sources, a prolonged holdout could possibly jeopardize $20 million in guaranteed salary that the Jets would owe Revis if, at the conclusion of the upcoming season, he exercises an option to void the two years remaining on his contract and the Jets buy back the two years for $20 million. That sum would be guaranteed unless a Revis holdout were to void the guarantee.
Our view: This contradicts an earlier report from the New York Daily News which stated Revis was prepared for a long holdout. The Jets already gave a new deal to OT D'Brickshaw Ferguson, and Revis should be the next in line for a big money deal. He's simply the best at his position, and needs to be compensated as such.
I blame this on Favre or George Bush???

-- Darrelle Revis Prepared to Hold Out Beyond Aug. 10th --
Sat Jul 10, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
The New York Daily News reports Jets CB Darrelle Revis is fully prepared to sit out if he doesn’t have a reworked deal by the start of training camp, according to sources. Revis isn’t bluffing. The 30-day rule isn’t a concern, either. In other words, Revis will hold out beyond Aug. 10 and risk losing an accrued year toward free agency if there’s no new deal, according to sources. There’s been no progress in the negotiations in the past few weeks.Sat Jul 10, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
