Reggie Bush's role is changing this year

Bush himself is on record as saying his use will change this season and he won't be the guy running up the middle as he did last season for the first time in his career. Look for Bush to lineup wide much more often this year and return to the way he was used in the Big Easy much more often than as an inside runner. In a ppr league this won't kill a fantasy owner but non-ppr leagues better watch out. Look for Thomas to take over as the early down ball carrier.

Not encouraging for those of us that own him in dynasty or keeper leagues.
I am of two minds on this.

One, yes less rushing attempts...could hurt value.

But in he hey day in N.O. when he was change of pace, and getting a ton of receptions and such....he was a solid PPR stud. I also am not sure Thomas will amount to anything...I would be more worried about the rookie they drafted this year.

As a flex play I wouldn't worry much but last year he was solid and now I'm scared to count on him as my RB 2.

yep, I can see that. But to me Bush is one of those less is more type of players. I think if he has too many carries, and he gets beat down, loses explosion and is risky for injury. In the right scenario, with Thomas taking carries and him beating up the defense....or Lamar Miller....it would allow Bush to: Change of pace and get the long fast strike, be placed out wide and be used alot more in the passing game, not force him to wear down. All plusses.

Again, if you are not in ppr, this is a much bigger risk. But with the Qbs hey have, and assuming at some point Tannehill will play.....he could be a great use as the outlet for the rookie Qb.

In an interview Bush claims to be happy with the changes and cbs sports loves what it can do for him and has him listed as a #2 RB on their boards. PhiCin is all over yet another fantasy situation.

Reggie has shown us all what eating too many Pizza Hutt pizzas can do to your brain, he's annouced his goal for this season. Y'all read this tidbit yet? Bush annouced this weekend that his goal this year is to win the rushing title. I spewed coffee when I read that. Come on Reggie, injuries have plagued you and you'll be splitting carries with a couple of other RB's this year plus you just told us last week that you'll be lining up outside quite a bit this year. Are they going to pitch the ball to you to run around the end? Setting goals in life is good for you Reggie but setting a goal that isn't reachable isn't. I'd settle for leading your conference if I were you. Still, I thank you for the belly shaking Sunday morning giggles you gave me.

I heard him mention that months ago before he knew of Philbin's plans. He is still saying that? Unless he plans on averaging 10 ypc he is dreaming
