Name two plausible schools the Big 12 could bring into the conference to restore a title game in time for the TV deal to come down in the next three seasons?

Im having a hard time answering this one myself......

Tulsa is extremely small, and that would be an issue. Doesnt give us a new footprint into anywhere either.

Id say Houston for one, D1 school in a huge city, giving us a firm conference footprint in that metro area we currently lack to a certain extent (and just more leverage for the TV deal).

The other.....just not too sure. Maybe someone like Southern Mississippi? Just not much out there to grab onto

Houston adds noting to the viewing audience for the Big 12 - last time I checked you already had Texas - which you will probably find more Texas fans in Houston than Houston fans (guessing here - but my experience in big cities is that top U in the state has the fans with the local school just sort of oh aint they cute type thing)

I honestly still see the Big 12 completely imploding sooner than later. Forget the entire sports angle - Texas is one of the few schools in the nation that could both bring something to the CIC and benefit from being a part of the CIC... which is why I still think somehow they end up in the Big Ten.

Yes there are alot of Texas and Aggie fans in Houston, but there are still alot of Houston Cougar fans down there. Khan did a few years in Houston and I was a frequent visitor. Adding the University of Houston does further sew up that recruiting ground and TV market, and it also adds star power back to the UH name, making it easier for them to recruit and complete.

The Pac-12 has it worked in their TV deal you cant have your own network, so we cant go there. Going to the SEC doesnt enhance our academics or recruiting, and we were making SEC money before the LHN came along.

I could see the Big 10, but theyd probably have to take Oklahoma too, and find a way around the LHN, not to mention youd **** off Nebraska immensely since they left to get away from us to start with.

Why not steal TCU and Cinci from the Big East? You get two nationally known schools with good football programs (which is what really matters in the Midwest).

I would have thought TCU because of the overall athletic program, but its probably too late.

Cincinnati...now that is VERY interesting.....
