He won his appeal and is free to sign anywhere. Supposedly in great shape

He won't be signed. Teams aren't looking for washed up RB's that bring a headache with them. Dude wasn't worth spit a year ago and I doubt he's gotten better as he approached 30.

Then there's the fact that he won't know the offense so at best he could play maybe a couple of weeks if it were a non-playoff team. Now who would take the hit in public opinion for that? Agreed someone might but they're idiots if they do. What Ray Rice did was low life and I'm hoping and predicting that he never sees the field again.

Michael Bush was just signed after being out all year and just plain sucking..... Why, b/c Arizona needed a power back.

Ray Rice will get a look by a team that is in contention and needs a pass catching rb. If not to end the year, he'll catch on next year.

I know that he slowed down a lot in his last full season. I'm sure he can still catch passes but the Rice of yesteryear is a distant memory. By the end of the 2015 season he'll be 31 years old. Not many RB's find success at that age.

You really think Ray would be a junk player to roster? I feel like he'd immediately be the best RB the Colts have
He is a small back that was overused. He is pretty warn down. One benefit of not getting hurt is you play alot, one negative for a smallish back is if you don't get hurt you play alot. He has alot of miles on him, and he had lost some speed.

I do think he will eventually get signed, I don't think for this year, but he will get another shot.

4 teams are reported to be interested.... Including the Colts and Saints.

For those worried about his use, legitimate concern, but also consider at this point he is a healthy player coming in latelate and is FRESH! everyone in the league is a little run down, Rice is fresh legs with something to prove. If he signs this week as I imagine he will, I think he can have some impact for an NFL team. Fantasy relevence will depend on where he lands.

Your math is off here...

Rice is only 27. Turns 28 in January. Will be 28 for the 2015 season and turn 29 before the 2016 super bowl.

Kid still has some life in him IMO

Colts have denied interest and the deepest position on the Saints is RB. I don't expect them to tinker with the damaged goods.

Rotoworld seems to have a keen eye on the subject and isn't blinded by memories of yesteryear when it comes to Rice.

We'd guess Rice's odds of suiting up this season are far less than 50:50. He looked done in 2013.

But I fear you may be right. There could be a meddlesome owner whose memory of '13 has faded that signs him. Owners have been known to make lots of mistakes.
