Torrey Smith played through a sports hernia for some portion of his rookie season and underwent surgery in the offseason to repair it, CBS Sports reports. The ailment won't affect Smith's 2012 availability. Coming off a strong rookie season (50 catches for 841 yards and seven touchdowns), Smith is one of the league's most promising young receivers, particularly as a deep threat.
