Rams seeking Michael Vick?

5 million is a lot to pay him for doing a whole lot of nothing, i see the Eagles going the release-resign route if going to keep him

uncapped year says what?

The rams would be stupid not to do this. As said in the first post... they need a QB who can run for his life. Getting Suh and Vick makes them at least a 5 or 6 win team, depending what else they can do this offseason.

Plus you have to consider how young the team was last year and their fortune with injuries. It's not so much getting a QB who can throw the ball as much as it is giving it to someone else who can touch the ball a few plays a game whose name isn't Steven Jackson.

Good backup. If you are a guy that plays the matchups you could get two or three starts out of him easy.

I like Sarge's fantasy take on this.

Vick always did as much rushing as passing and was decent fantasy player because of it. He would be capable of that any more. But he will run for some yardage every game, more like 7-8 chunks instead of 15-20 yard chunks like in the past. But get him inside the 7-8 yard line he is capable of getting 7-8 rushing TDs easy. Nice backup in a small league but in bigger leagues he could be a nice situational starter. Assuming he does end up with the Rams.

No, Philly won't let him walk. Not with all the other Qb issues. They have the room, they will hang onto him one more year. In fact they have already stated as such I believe.
That is interesting, I have not heard anything recently, but everything during the season that I heard was there is no way they would pick up the 5 mil option. That is just a crapload to pay for what he will do for them unless they want him to be the starting QB....

The last few reports I have read say at least one of the Qbs in Philly will be gone this year. But not just let go.

They have til May for McNabb, and his 6 million dollar ( it may be more, can't remember...) roster bonus kicks in. Kolb is staying ...period. Vick may stay if they deal McNabb, but they may go ahead and deal Vick as well if the offer makes sense.
