No. Not if you can get good value for that 2nd stringer. Any player can be traded at any time. Back up or not. In there minds VY is the 2nd QB but as shown they have no issue running with Kafka as the back up, but to them Young was the slightly better player for now to put in there 2nd QB spot. I beleve it is a fluid position and any week they can swap places on the Depth Chart because niether one of them is that good IMO.

He was outright CUT from one team as a back-up to an unreliable starter.

Getting even a dollar for him sounds like good business.

Back to Carson...he practiced today and split first team reps with Kyle B and also realized just how rusty he was but according to reports he is shaking the rust faster than alot of people expected.

Back to Campbell,

This all really sucks for him. He never has really gotten a fair shake in this league. He has a great skill set but always lacked in the understanding department. He was starting to look like he had finally grasped the concept and got a fresh start on a young promising team.

An injury later, instead of watching his back-up try to hold the fort until his return he will be watching his replacement take his job from him.

I like Jason and wish him the very best.

Just wondering where he might go next year. Only one team next year...regardless of how much the others wish there was more than one... is going to get Luck. After that the best two QBs scheduled for FA are Alex Smith and Campbell. Garrard will also, most likely, still be out of work. Not the best options for a needy team.

Re: Raiders QB Campbell out for season.

Isn't this thread titled: "Raiders QB Campbell out for season...Plamer trade"?

First of all, I don't think anybody would trade for Plamer. He's a virtual unknown. I can't find him anywhere...lessee...

I found Flamer. Maybe that's him:FIREdevil:

Or Planer maybe...:sopwithcamel:

Actually, there are two or three solid college Qbs that will get drafted pretty high, Luck being the best. That and the fact the rookie salaries are pretty well controlled now means Campbell won't really get a shot. His best hope probably would be as a back up somewhere and see how that falls.

Sorry this is just rediculous. GB has had huge offers for Flynn and they don't take them...why? Cause Aaron gets hurt. Philly is better than most teams on roster protection. They were accepting deals cause he sucks and they know it.

Its not fluid. HE couldn't learn the offense, he was hurt, Kafka has produced, the team LOVES Kafka, not Young. If they wanted Young as #2 and trusted him...why pull him when Vick had a possible concussion??? Seriously...just give it up.

Another time with less on my mind and not sleeping at a hospital Pic and this debate shall continue.

Palmer looks to start as others here have already stated. I guess if you pay a kings ransom for someone its a play now learn later thing.

Hope everything is all right like having a baby causing you to sleep at the hospital. Good luck. Don't worry about your fantasy football, your starters (excluding Palmer of course) will do the job.

I am not sold on Palmer at all. I do have a feeling that he can come in and play well enough to allow the Raiders to win, but not to be very important in a playoff picture. I think he may even bring some increased value to the passing game for Oakland, but I submit that after about 5 games, he will be completely schemed by DC's, he will falter and become a liability.
