Raiders cut Fargas; McFadden ready for primetime?

Half Man, Half Amazing
Survey says, "Nope." Welcome to the elite status of "change of pace" back, DMac! Michael Bush's ff status went up with Fargas getting the boot. DMac hasn't shown the ability to be more than a pass catching runningback...hmm I think I've read this before. So don't get swallowed up by the hype machine this off season and take Mr. Bush-lite in latter rounds for some solid RB2 production.

Crap, I always hoped Seattle could get Bush from Al

Me too. I think Bush only has one year left on his contract, doesn't he? If that's the case Bush is basically playing this year for a new contract, either with the Raiders or with someone else(hopefully). I hope they give Bush the chance to prove himself on a regular basis. I think they should've seen enough to go with him, but Al drafted DMac in the first round and Bush fell to round 3 or 4 - I forget which- so who knows what Al will push for.

I have them both in the Outlaw County dynasty league.. just felt a little tingle from down below.. LOL !!

They're both still in Oakland. I have Bush in my dynasty league so obviously DMac sucks. lol. I'm hoping Bush gets traded for 2011.

I'd suggest Oakland trades Bush now for some good picks, but they'd just butcher them anyway so nevermind.

Just read that Fargas failed the physical is the reason was released

D-Mack is a bust so far and wish he would get traded for early round picks, would like to see M.Bush see a lot more plays going his way as i feel he is a better NFL RB, wont happen with McFadden on the roster

Interesting turn of events in Oakland, but I still wouldn't touch a Raider with a ten foot pole.

One day the die-hard Raider fans will make fantasy fools out of the rest of us, but it won't be this year.

I wouldn't be too sure about the negativity. Take Fargas's touches and spread them out evenly amongst Bush and Run DMC.. one, if not both could emerge as totally viable fantasy options. Think Pierre Thomas/Reggie Bush, except with a taller, more out-of-shape and dumber QB.

Show me DMac can survive that many more carries, and I might agree.........

Derringer is the Raider guy. Derringer what do u think? I think Bush is better, but I also think Weird Al likes DMac better. Who gets more carries? Is this Bush's last year on his contract? Will he be a Raider next year?

Your correct about Weird Al he will go with the money guy in this case its D-Bust IMO M.Bush is a much better RB than McFadden will ever be at the NFL level, as far as keeping M.Bush beyond 2010 to early to tell but i hope so.

The weakness of the OL needs to be addressed via the draft and am hoping that OT Bruce Campbell falls to 1.08 to give the running game a fighting chance

Keeping mega bust J.Russ off the field is a must

Just like with Matt Jones, I'm admittedly biased towards D-Mac because he was honestly on my very short list of the best players I've ever witnessed at the college level. The fact that he utterly dominated against SEC competition is the icing on the cake. Now that the trio's finally become a duo, I'll wait and see what he does this year before throwing the bust word around.
It's been painfully hard to succeed as a RB when the QB, WR corps and O-line have been a train wreck since he got there.

You remember Ron Dayne aka "The Great Dayne" out of Wisconsin dont you.

Please take a look at his NCAA accomplishments then tell me where it says being a College Football stud will flow into greatness in the NFL.

It hurts me to rip a Raider player but D-Mack is an NFL bust bar-nun just like R.Dayne was.
