  • The National Football Post reports eaveryone in the Denver Broncos organization has been impressed with the work of QB Brady Quinn. Quinn has slowed down his movements and, according to the team’s coaches, has improved his accuracy. They’re excited to watch him work, and Denver will have a legitimate competition at quarterback this summer.

Tebow taking part in Broncos' minicamp -- Fri Apr 30 1:20 pm --

Showing signs of an improved throwing styleTim Tebow is making his NFL debut at the Denver Broncos' minicamp for rookies. Tebow ran agility drills, then threw several passes under the watchful eyes of coach Josh McDaniels and his younger brother, Ben, who is Denver's new quarterbacks coach. Deploying his new and improved throwing motion that removes the looping windup he had in college, Tebow's throws were tight and compact. (NFL.com)

FF Today's Take: This isn't going to vault Tebow or any of the Broncos' receivers up the draft board, but it's encouraging that the young QB is making the effort to alter his style of play to better prepare for NFL football.

Looks like Quinn does the get the down the field work, Tebow does the short yardage stuff, and Orton sits on his arse.

Broncos | Elway endorses Tim Tebow Wed May 5, 08:49 AM
David Hunt, from 9News.com, reports Denver Broncos Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway told 9NEWS Tuesday morning he thinks Tim Tebow can play quarterback in the NFL and he likes what Head Coach Josh McDaniels did in the NFL draft. "He's got the potential, he won at the college ranks, and won the Heisman, so there is talent there, there's a want there," Elway said. "I think we have a great competitor so that gives us hope."
Our view: Elways shadow still looms large over the Mile High City. Every Broncos QB since Elway retired has been compared to the Hall of Famer, and Tim Tebow will be no different. Elway thinks that because McDaniels has worked with Tom Brady, and made Matt Cassel into a franchise quarterback, that he will be able to get the most out of Tim Tebow.

Not just any ordinary endorsement. This is major news in my opinion.

Speaking of Jerseys and #1....

Who is the only modern day player (post 1950) to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame that wore the #1 on his jersey?

Jeff George also wore the #1 on his jersey when he was with the Falcons so Tebow is in good company :biglaugh:

This sounds a little self centered dont you think :hmmm:

rotoworld,
Tim Tebow appeared to move into the No. 3 quarterback slot on Thursday, taking practice reps ahead of Tom Brandstater for the first time.

Well that was quick. Tebow opened OTAs as the No. 4 quarterback just ten days ago and has apparently has done enough for a promotion. He remains a project and a long shot to pass Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn before Week 1, although trade rumors continue to swirl around Orton.

rotoworld,
ESPN.com's Bill Williamson believes it will be "a shock" if Tim Tebow is not the Broncos' starting quarterback in Week 1 of 2011.

Williamson, who used to cover the Broncos for the Denver Post, says the team wants Tebow to play "as soon as he's ready." Barring an unexpected Pro Bowl-caliber season, Kyle Orton will not be back next season. With a year of tutoring from the McDaniels brothers, Tebow should bypass Brady Quinn by next offseason.

Quinn just doesn't look like he's ever going to pan out as a starting QB and his back up play has been painful to watch. So not really suprised there is talk of Tebow being the starter in 2011.
