Here are some I will be keeping an eye on:
  • Arizona QB Situation - Kevin Kolb vs John Skelton
  • Tennessee QB Situation - Matt Hasselbeck vs Jake Locker
  • Seattle QB Situation - Matt Flynn vs Tavaris Jackson vs Russell Wilson
  • Miami QB Battle - Ryan Tannehill vs Matt Moore vs David Garrard

Any other battles you will be watching? Who do you see coming out on top?

Kolb- just an all around better QB for this team at this point than Skelton
Hasselbeck for now, Locker most likely by week 6
Flynn was born to be a starter, Jackson did ok last season but all he is is a decent backup. Wilson just not ready yet but shows promise
Moore-I think he deserves it but will have to fight it out with Garrard. I don't see Tannehill starting at all this season.

  • I love Kolb, but he was not made for this offense, and you can't deny what Skelton did, I actually see Skelton winning this.
  • Tennessee QB Situation - Matt Hasselbeck vs Jake Locker
agree with JJ here, I think Hass starts, but by mid-season its Locker
  • Seattle QB Situation - Matt Flynn vs Tavaris Jackson vs Russell Wilson
Flynn, will start, but watch out for Wilson, he could very well be the future for this franchise!!
  • Miami QB Battle - Ryan Tannehill vs Matt Moore vs David Garrard
I see Garrard starting here, and Tannehill waiting til next year.
  • other - Cleveland - McCoy vs. Weeden - I know they have Weeden locked in, but if they don't trade McCoy...this will be a cry out for fans if Weeden sucks at first. Personally, i would start McCoy, and let Weeden learn from the bench.

TC is getting closer, all these battles are about to heat up.

I agree that McCoy should get a shot Phic, I just don't think he gets a fair look at it. Word out of Miami is they want someone to take a hold of the job early, will be interesting to see if any of them can make this a quick battle.

Miami has tipped their hand that they won't start Tannehill so it's Moore vs Garrard and my $$ is on Moore being named the starter by week 3 of the preseason.

I will take that bet, as everything reported has Garrard way ahead

Miami Dolphins QBs Matt Moore and David Garrard split reps with the first-team offense during practice Friday. Moore received the first snaps during team drills.

I still like Moore's chances there at winning that job. Jaws had a lot of good things to say about the young man a few months ago.

I am with ya Mud. Garrard is still not in the shape he needs to be. I see his back problems still lingering. Still think Moore starts this season.

Tavaris Jackson opened as the starter in Seattle......now how long can he keep it? Most are not giving him much of a shot.

Looks like the Seattle job is going to come down to Flynn vs Wilson! Flynn continued to struggle last night, but in his defense, TO dropped a beautiful pass in the endzone on a long pass that would have made his number look much better.

However, Wilson continued to impress! This kid is not going down without a fight.

Yup, Flynn and TO were not on the same page on several others as well. The Seahawks were working to get TO in the game though with 5 targets early in the 1st half.

Seattle is looking very good for the next several years though with QBs looking set, RBs looking set, good OLine, top Def. Only weaknesses I see is WR and TE but the rest of the quality will make them look better than they really are

Who do you think they are set with at QB?? Do you think Flynn is the answer or is Wilson the future? Can either separate to avoid a muddy mess? As they say....if you have 2 QB's you have NONE!

Flynn will draw the week one start and you can take that to the bank. The question becomes how quick will the hook be applied if he gets off to a rocky start which I don't expect to happen.
