ya, Ted Thompson has arguably the best young team in the NFL, and is about $42 million dollars under the salary cap. That is the definition of success in the business of the NFL.

From what I hear, Favre will be a viking by Wed or Thurs, as soon as the last of the contract details are worked out.

A Vikings' staff member is slated to travel to Mississippi and work out Favre (biceps) this weekend, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

GBG breaks the story first because she's the one that called Brett himself and was like "play." Of course his answer was no less than "yes m'am."

I have a funny feeling it won't happen. Seems the surgery didn't have a dramatic change as was expected.

On a side note, to me Favre will always be a Packer. I think GB should put him under contract for one day so he can retire a Packer, as he should have done in the first place.

Updating previous reports, The Associated Press reports QB Brett Favre (shoulder) said he felt some pain in his surgically repaired shoulder Wednesday, June 17. He said there were different places in his shoulder that it's sore, and he felt the soreness during a couple of throws. "I threw the ball OK, but OK isn't good enough in the National Football League. At least not for me. So it's got to get better," Favre said.

The guy has already come out and said that if after the surgery, his arm is fine and he's recovered from it well, that he WILL play for the Vikings.

Just more fluff coming from his mouth. He hasn't once dealt with this honestly and all the facts keep coming out after it has already happened, (shoulder surgery, denied it until it finally came out he had it done a few weeks before) , if what he is saying this time is true then he won't be back. Just one hit or fall on the ground and he would be threw. Still think GB should sign him to a one day contract so he can retire a Packer.
