QB Brett Favre: Surgery and After / The Saga Continues!

Chris Mortensen and Ed Werder, of ESPN.com, report QB Brett Favre underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder last month. However, Favre is not able to make a commitment to an NFL team because throwing sessions indicate his shoulder still is not 100 percent. He has been throwing on a limited basis since the surgery, but will not return to the NFL unless he makes significant progress,

Favre's agent wouldn't confirm or deny the surgery ever even happened. Do we know for sure that he even had it?

Most of the major sports sources are going with it. Does that mean it is true. Maybe not, Only Favre, his agent, and the Doctor really know for sure. Vikings brass maybe?

Nice scoop Norm.

Im sure his shoulder will make it back. Still amazing in all these years this is the only major issue he has had. Perhaps the secret of long life is lots of fishing in Mississippi....

More news on this, the Vikings have now imposed a deadline of a week for Favre to decide if he is going to play for them this season. Favre has reportedly wanted to wait until he sees how his recovery from surgery goes.

If the recovery time is more than the week that the Vikings are willing to wait plus 4 weeks already passed, i dont see Favre playing this year in Minnesota.

Not much of a secret is it?

Nothing this clown does is ever a secret.

I think there is a sick part of Brett's ego that loves the public's infatuation with him.

It is similar to not sleeping with someone until the absolute breaking point. You hold out for as long as possible to build max anticipation.

Brett is just teasing his adoring public until their breaking point.

Essentially yes. It's not what you think either. Not the sensual slow screw.

He will grab our attention, build our anticipation, get us excited, and then bend us over in the bathroom of some smelly truck stop to do his business.

When it's all said and done we'll wonder why we got so excited in the 1st place. Then 1 year later, we'll do it all over again.

We football nymphomaniacs never learn.

Just a little news to nibble on....

Favre's closest family and friends have booked 25+ hotel rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge across from Lambeau for the Nov. 1 Pack/Vikes game.

As a Packer fan you disappoint me. Seriously.

Favre has to be the 1st case that has truly divided fans between organization and player.

In the history of sports 99% of the time when there is a rift between the 2, the fans choose the organization.

Somehow Favre became greater than the team and the organization. The most important piece of the puzzle in the eyes of some confused fans.

It will be a great day for Favre haters should he ever play in Green Bay vs. his former teammates. No matter the outcome of the game, his legacy loses.

Personally, I hope it ends with him throwing 1 last touchdown to a Green Bay player, preferably Charles Woodson, Atari Bigby, Al Harris, ect ect. You get my point. It would be poetic justice. For once a Brett Favre INT would WIN a game for Green Bay.
