I don't buy for a minute that ponder couldn't play. This was an attempt at surprise, and hoping for lightning in a bottle. McCarthy even tried to help giving them the ball first. That was a bonehead move. Had they scored a TD and followed it up in the second drive, rt his scam would have paid off.
