X-rays and MRIs on Giants WR Hakeem Nicks' knee and wrist were negative. Good news but the knee is still swollen, so, you know..... keep an eye on this

ESPN's John Clayton confirms that Hakeem Nicks' status is "in doubt" for Week 2.

Clayton is confirming a New York Daily News report that Nicks is "at best, uncertain" for Monday night's game against the Rams. "The knee is day to day but there is definite concern about this week," says Clayton. We're guessing that Domenik Hixon would start opposite Mario Manningham if Nicks can't go. Hixon could shape up as a nice "handcuff" waiver addition with St. Louis possibly missing both starting corners.

A walking wounded game game early in the season. Giants with no WRs and the Rams with no Cornerbacks, could be interesting. I grabbed the Rams as a backup D in several leagues good thing we aren't into the bye weeks. :)

Rams waived C Drew Miller. Miller was active for Sunday's loss to the Eagles, but has been cut loose with the Rams looking to sign a cornerback with Ronald Bartell ticketed for injured reserve. In the league since 2008, Sunday was the first time Miller had ever been active on game day.

Opps, sorry, we need a CB!

Later today we should at least find out if he is practicing which would be surprising. But maybe the swelling goes down and he practices Friday or Saturday (Mon. Night Game) and won't be a game time decision. Monday nights are a double edged sword, you get and extra day for your player to get better, but if he still is a GTD it is harder on a Monday to get him into your lineup.

A GTD player on MN sits on my team unless I have his handcuff. I do my best to get the key handcuffs but I can't cover everyones asp.

It's one of the toughest things as a fantasy owner is to manage your roster because if you invest in too many handcuffs....... then you have a team of backups.

One thing you have to love when it happens is if you have a decent player on the other Monday night team that you can start and then switch and put in your stud if he gets healthy.......... Doesn't happen often but pure gold when it does.

Listened to the game on the radio. Good game, was busy laughing at Manning tho and all his greatness. lol.

Sometimes it is great to listen on the radio, some of those radio announcers are great and keep you right on top of the action. Sometimes with TV if you look at your computer you miss a scoring play and the 2 5 second replays, they roll off for 5 minutes of commercials.

First time i've ever listened to a game on the radio and it wasnt half bad. One announcer , dont know who it was tho, really got on my nerves. Had to be on 'Skins radio since he was bashing the Giants all game.

Saints fans have been turning down the sound on TV and listening to the WWL Radio broadcast for years. I prefer listening to LSU on the radio vs TV.

Though I often want to ring Hawthorne's neck when he says caught for a touchdown......and dropped.

LMAO. Funny thing was i found myself staring at the radio during broadcast like it was going to do something. LOL. Having the lack of visual was definitly diferent.
