Poor Jets. They can't see the forest for the trees. I guess a conditional mid-round isn't all that much to give up on the trick player.

So he's on Seattle for his week 4 bye, gets traded to the Jets on week 7, a day after the Jets have already played, and then gets the Jets bye week coming up.

If this dude gets hurt this season, it will truly define him. He's certainly getting enough time off

I don't know why Seattle fans would be mad. Getting a 1st round pick for Harvin is a steal! The dude is a total flake. Doesn't have real NFL WR chops

Harvin has 22 catches for 133 yards through five games. He has yet to post more than 60 receiving yards in a game.

Hawks spent $18M on the clown and got eight games out of him. Vikes dumped him, Hawks have dumped him, how long until the Jets dump the locker room trouble maker?

I'm sure this move had to burn at least a few fantasy owners. Anyone who was deciding between a WR who played last night (Edelman, Decker, LaFell etc etc) and Percy. If they put Percy in, they now missed on the opportunity to play one of those other guys.

There also all the Fan Duel tournaments that started yesterday. Anyone who used Harvin this week is now locked into his 0.

Actually this could be good for Harvin owners in the long run. He'd worn out his welcome in Seattle which made the second NFL club that cut bait and was never going to be the star that he imagines himself to be there. Same for the Vikings where he played second fiddle to Peterson. Now he's in the media capital of the world and no one to shine brighter than he IF he decides to be a team player and can put anything together. I'm not betting on it happening but for this season his chances of helping fantasy owners have improved greatly. Of course if he still can't run routes and still is a locker room cancer his window will close quickly there as well.

From rotoworld

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks had been shopping Percy Harvin for weeks.

Multiple reports suggest Harvin's "anger management issues" led to his trade to the Jets. For the Seahawks, moving on from his contract gets them out of what's left on his $11 million base salary. Harvin has no guaranteed money beyond this year and would have been a release-candidate after the season regardless. It's still an admission of failure from Seattle after they gave up first- and seventh-round picks last year, and a 2014 third-rounder for Harvin. The Seahawks will save $6.47 million in cap space by trading him, which should help towards extending Russell Wilson.

A source tells the Seattle Times that Percy Harvin got into an altercation with Golden Tate during Super Bowl week last season, resulting in a black eye for Tate.

This confirms an initial report from The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein. A source also tells the Seattle Times that Harvin had an altercation with Doug Baldwin in August that resulted in Baldwin getting a cut on his chin. A final straw was reportedly Harvin balking about going back into last week's game against Dallas, possibly angry over not being used more early on. Zierlein was told "Harvin's anger issues are just too much to deal with and he could single handedly bring down team chemistry.

A 6th that could go to a 4th...... Wow, sea chicks really wanted to cut bait on him. Not a big gamble for the Jets IMO who have a lack of offensive talent still and this helps that out.

IF Jets had a real Qb, I would LOVE this move for Decker. He was not built to be a #1, but with Harvin running the speed routes deep, this will open up the middle more for Decker and Rookie Te.

then again, Jets don't have diddly at Qb.

As for Seahawks, this move was made to lose attitude in locker room, and cash for the re-sign of Wilson.

Nope, he could have been cut at the end of the season with same dead money. They get a bit back with balance of this seasons pay that Jets will pick up but that is all. Saw this morning that he had refused to take the field in 3 games. They had tried to trade him after the 2nd instance to Cle for Cameron but couldn't get a deal done. This was strictly a "Get The Truck Outta Here Now" move
