They are also all injured, at least Warren and Kaczur were for all/most of last season. And Alge had off-season surgery.

Recently released DE Ty Warren is reportedly interested in returning to Texas to play in Dallas or Houston. Warren starred collegiately at Texas A&M. He failed his conditioning test in New England, but insists his hip is no longer an issue. Warren was told the Patriots were "going in a different direction defensively," perhaps an indication that more 4-3 fronts will be used with Albert Haynesworth on board.

Speaking on Norms post, I had heard the Pats would use Vince Wolfolk and Fat Albert in some 4-3 fronts, which I expect will be when they play the Jets so their monsters can shut down the point of attack.

The New England Patriots have released TE Alge Crumpler, OT Nick Kaczur, DEs Marcus Stroud and Ty Warren, LBs Tully Banta-Cain and Ryan Coulson and CB Tony Carter.
