Okay, who does your favorite team and/or local team take in round 1?

Favorite team Philadelphia - Rumors abound they want Tannehill, and they might. But if they trade up, I don't think they do it for Tannehill.

No, they have three dire, dire needs.

First they need help at S for Nate Allen. If they could get Barron I would be thrilled. He is the long needed SS they have missed.
Secondly they need LB - yes they traded for Ryans, and it is a good fit. But if they could get Kuelchy from Boston Collage...I would love it. Finally depth at MLB!!!
Lastly, they need pressure from DT - Cox out of Mississippi is the perfect fit.

So I do see a trade, and it will probably be for Cox, since he is expected to go early.

I would prefer - Kuelchy or Barron. Probably Barron most of all since they got Ryans already.

Cincinnati - I am not a fan, but live in the area.

Assumptions are they go CB then G or reverse.

I agree on one, but not the other. With the acquisitions of Bell and Wharton, I don't think drafting a guard in the first round is that dire. I do think they get OL in this draft, but with extra picks later, it can wait.

Cb is a dire must. Yes they have picked up lots....but they need a young top Cb to eventually match up with who they have.

First pick in this draft should be one of the following: Gilmore Cb or Kuelchy at LB if there. Those are dire musts. I have seen mocks lately that have Gilmore going before Kirkpatrick now. So taking him would be fine instead. But key weakness is Lb and Cb.

For the second first round pick they are wide open. Hightower for LB to eventually take Lawson's spot, OR if Stanton is there still he would be a great swing guy on OL, or if god forbid Floyd from ND is there that would be solid as well.

What about your teams?

Jax is taking Blackmon/Claiborne if they are there. If they don't get anybody to bite and for their spot at 7 then they take DE Ingram. If they trade down, Pffffft, have no clue. Only clue i do have is i don't like what i hear coming out of gene smiths mouth about drafting this year. Keeps saying he will draft highest ranked player on his list not nessassarily draft for needs. What a fkn idiot. He'll get hung from a tree if he does stupid **** again ths draft.

I have Pittsburgh taking Kevin Zeitler out of Wisconsin @ 24, but I'm a huge advocate of them trading down into the late 1st/early 2nd and accruing an extra 2nd rounder. They can still (probably) get Zeitler or Amini Silatolu out of Midwestern St with that pick, then snag Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington with their original 2nd rounder.

If Dontari Poe contines his mysterious slide-rise-slide-rise-slide up the "experts" rankings and is sitting there at 24, I want him, then a solid tackle such as Mitchell Schwartz from Cal in the late 2nd.

In my 3 round mock, I had Cleveland taking Mike Adams a couple picks in front of Pittsburgh but due to his bonehead positive drug test at the combine, I'll be changing that pick which may have a small trickle down effect.

I'd like to see the Pokes go whole hog on the OL.
If Jeffery somehow falls to them, I wouldn't get all worked up over them drafting him instead. It's highly unlikely because of Austin's contract. But how fun would that locker room be with Dez and Alshon?

seems like Seattle could use a WR.
not trying to dis the Seahawks, but if Floyd does end up there, is that going to lower his fantasy value?

i think it would be interesting to see a fantasy ranking of rookies from our local guru's pre-draft without considering who may draft them.
and then have one post-draft to see the changes, if any.

Jeff you dont want Tannehill anywhere near you, unless you believe his WRs really had upwards of 70the legit drops

For the Texas teams . Dallas needs to land Dre Kirkpatrick or Mark Barron. Houston needs Cody Fleener or a solid WR

Ravens:

Should Take: Donta Hightower or Courtney Upshaw

What do they need: Likely need a C over anything on defense, but their defense will need a replacement for Ray Lewis before seasons end.

Will likely take Kevin Zeitler, G Wisconsin - Wisconsin runs a pro-style running game, this guy can play anywhere on the line and is a beast. On the other hand, Hightower ran an NFL-styled defense in 'bama, would make all the audibles once the offense audibled against the presented defense.
