You know they are coming. Some may be here sooner than next year. Lets each make a list of teams you expect to have a new coach...and why. My choice for Coach will be in bold.

I will do this be Conf. and Div.

NFC

NFC EAST
Dallas - Currently 7-3 but this team is just ugly. I know they have a damn good shot to make the playoffs, in fact I still think three teams could come from the NFC East. But my gut says if they don't win a playoff game, and even if they do....but don't win the Bowl....this will be a change here. Possible canidates - Shanahan, Gruden, Holmgren, Cowher.

NY Giants - Currently 6-4 but playing better. Defensive injuries have killed this team. Still, they are in the running for the playoffs. I think Coughlin is safe.

Philadelphia - Currently 6-4 with a shot at division or wild card. Regardless, I think Andy has a job as long as he wants out.

Washington - Currently 3-7 Goner. Zorn will be gone, Campbell will be gone...and I would not be shocked if Portis was gone as well. I look for this team to be blown up, and rebuilt. Which should be a joke...since they prefer to trade their picks and not use them. Possibles include - Shanahan, Cowher(doubt it though), Gruden and maybe Holmgren.

NFC North
Minnesota Vikings - 9-1 with TD THROWING Jesus at the helm. With a contract renewel in hand....this job is totally safe.

Green Bay - 6-4 and in the playoff hunt. Made major defensive transition to the 3-4, but really missed fixing the O-line. Team has incredible offensive talent in Rodgers, Jennings, Driver, Grant and young Wr depth in Jones and Nelson. Defense has studs at LB and some on DL. DBs due to injuries and age are an issue. Still, I think the coach is safe...but the GM may be another matter.

Chicago - Currently 4-6.....This is a tough call. Most are really disappointed in how this team has played. I also know most are calling the Cutler deal a bust. I disagree. Had the defense not lost key players to injury, and had the O-line shaped up...this team could have been a real player in the division. This team needs real Wrs. They need an major influx at OL. Depth on defense is needed as well. Still, I think Lovie is safe one more year....but the GM again may be gone.

Detroit - 2-8, New head coach, rebuilding team. I think Schwartz is safe for another year. This team needs to continue to rebuild the def. and Off. line. Stafford looks to be okay if he has time to throw, TE Pettigrew and Rb K. smith are solid. Calvin is superman at wr. Given a defense that could hold someone, and a OL that could block...and they would improve greatly.

NFC South

New Orleans - 10 - 0, boy what a difference a defense can make. Don't even have to be a top 10 defense....when you lead the league in scoring, you just need to stop them once in a while. Nice job here!

Atlanta - 5-5, somewhat disappointing from last years playoff team..but still a solid squad. Offense is still pretty good, and acquisition of Gonzales was solid. Need to finish rebuilding the defense and this team will be back in the playoffs.

Carolina - 4-6, say goodbye to Fox. This is the last straw. The team continues to regress, and the talent they have brought in outside of Rb and LB has been little help. Team needs a new coach, and a new Qb to get the future started. Possible canidates - Gruden, Shanahan, Holmgren, Cowher**

** yep this will be where Cowher lands. Remember he quit to be closer to home and family...and Carolina is just that!

Tampa Bay - 1-9, and not very good. This team is a mystery. They hire a new HC, but force the keeping of the OC. Then just before the season starts they boot the OC, and promote the Qb coach to OC. Then during the season they boot the DC, and extend the contract of the new OC. My guess is they will retain Morris. But this is one I am puting up in the air as they may need a more total change.

NFC West

Arizona - 7-3 and in control of the division. Solid effort from the defending NFC champs! They have a pretty good def, a great passing offense and are developing a running game. Job safe.

San Francisco - 4-6 and no real progression per say. But I think the job is safe, the defense is overall much, much better. Gore is still solid, with Oline better. Need to continue to add at WR, and get a Qb that can actually run this franchise. Still, I think the coach is safe.

Seattle - 3-7....Mora fail part duex?? This team is just awful. Injuries have played a major part...but still, this is just bad. Normally, I would say a new coach is safe. But rumors are flying now that the team is already talking to Holmgren to return. I think if the team continues to lose, Mora is gone. Possible canidates - Shanahan, Holmgren, Gruden, Cowher and up and coming OC or DC. Not sure here, but I just don't believe Holmgren will come back.

St. Louis - 1-9 on a team no one expected much from, and got just that. Still, they have made major roster changes but still need more help. A franchise Qb would also help as Bulger i think is gone. But I think coach is safe.

AFC to come later!!

The Score is reporting that the Bears are looking for a new GM and coach. But a lot think Lovie won't be gone since he still has 2 year (i believe) left on his contract. I think Angelo will be gone before Lovie.

My guess is the Seahawks make a change up top at GM instead of at HC. Holmgren is a candidate. Also, Holmgren wants to be a Pres./GM next year, not a coach.

I agree on your Cowher to Carolina scenario. I've been predicting that for awhile too. I doubt Gruden goes anywhere as ESPN just handed him a wad of cash.

NFC

NFC EAST
Dallas If Jerry would let him run the team Id love to see Bill Cowher here, but its Shanny IMO unless he goes all Epic Fail on us and takes the Scruffalo Bills job.

NY Giants - Hes fine. He would need two bad years right now to get canned.

Philadelphia - This is a team thats primed for something like a 14-2 season in 2010. Just soooo much young talent all over the field. Reid has this gig on lockdown.

Washington - Washington is just way too fluid for a prime guy to take unless Snyder goes totally hands off and leaves them to build the franchise. This job has long time solid coordinator written on it.

NFC North
Minnesota Vikings - Brett Favre has paid Brads bills for the next two or three years.

Green Bay - I think Thompson goes this year and the coach the next. I dont believe he has the leadership abilities to coach this team to its potential.

Chicago - You went and paid for a 10 year QB. Its time to go get a coach to build for the next level.

Detroit - I think this job is safe for the next 3 years. They arent very good, but they are alot better than last year. He needs time to really build a solid football program.

NFC South

New Orleans - Peyton was a great hire. He should have been the HC of the Cowboys.

Atlanta - Given the injuries this is about what I expected.

Carolina - Fox should have been fired last year. Cowher lands here, tosses Delhomme out on his ass, and builds a consistent winner by 2012.

Tampa Bay - This was a bad hire and it shows on and off the field. You failed. Fire Morris and get a real coach now while the damage can still be fixed.

NFC West

Arizona - Great job done here. This team remains competitive.

San Francisco - Singletary runs a fine program. He is going to be just fine for two or three more years at an 8-8 level. They play hard, they just need to learn how to be a more consistent winner.

Seattle - I think Mora will be fine as the puppet coach while Mike pulls the strings.

St. Louis - 1-9 on a team no one expected much from, and got just that. Still, they have made major roster changes but still need more help. A franchise Qb would also help as Bulger i think is gone. But I think coach is safe.

They wont fire Spags. Its going to take 2 more years to fix all the problems with this franchise.

"Its An Outrage"
IMO Giants HC Tom Coughlin has to be worried, starting the season with 5 wins against weak teams Washington, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Oakland, then losing 5 of the next 6 games against high powered teams, New Orleans, Arizona, Philadelphia, San Diego, Denver, with the only win v.s. Atlanta

I don't see Morris going anywhere. The Glazers are drinking the Raheem koolaid and catering to him more than they publicize. I think he has at least another year to play HC in Tampa Bay.

They turned over the Defensive play calling to RM this week, which is anything but a sign that they're giving up on him.

Uh oh! Just got the dreaded support of confidence by Jones! See Ya!

Washington - Currently 3-7 Goner. Zorn will be gone, Campbell will be gone...and I would not be shocked if Portis was gone as well. I look for this team to be blown up, and rebuilt. Zorn is a gonner!

Hearing more and more like Nikki said...this may be a GM move first.

NFC South

Even more sure of this now.

I am still not sure here. The move to Freeman is working...but now the question is why did they wait? I think Raheem is safe this year...but might be an early cut next if they continue to slide.

NFC West
Seattle - 3-7....Mora fail part duex?? This team is just awful. Injuries have played a major part...but still, this is just bad. Normally, I would say a new coach is safe. Well the GM is gone as of today by most reports. I still think Mora might be gone as well, unless the new GM is Holmgren...since Mora was Holmgren's pick.

**edit to add**
So my bet is 4 changes. I think Washington, Carolina, Seattle and Dallas make changes. If I am right, you will probably see Shanahan, Cowher, Gruden and maybe even Holmgren back in the NFC mix.

Time for a new update!

Well, Zorn is gone and rumors ar flying Shanahan is the man. I still think Dallas makes a change if they lose to Philly this week. Still, winning the NFC east may help.

NFC North

I don't see any changes here. I think Chicago's big win agains Minny, and the contract money he has keeps Lovie in a job. Fact is if they fix the O-line and defense...they are back in it. Schwartz looks like he might be a good fit.

NFC South

New Orleans - 10 - 0, boy what a difference a defense can make. Don't even have to be a top 10 defense....when you lead the league in scoring, you just need to stop them once in a while. Nice job here!

Well, supposedly Fox is safe. I still doubt it though. I also here that if Tampa can get Cowher that Morris may be gone. So still one maybe here.

Not sure if any changes happen here. Injuries killed Seattle. Still, though it was a bad, bad team. I think all are safe here.

Net looks like only 1-2 changes. Washington is a yes. But Carolina, Tampabay or Dallas or Seattle may make moves yet.

They said on the news today that they will announce tomorrow whats going to happen with Lovie. We shall see still don't think he will be gone. I honestly think Angelo will be gone before Lovie. Thats just my thought anyways.
