Seriously, where does everyone expect this cat to land. For every post you hear about teams pursueing Nnamdi Asomugha, there is one that follows stating the team doesnt stand a chance. Where can afford him and where is he likely to land??

I am betting a NFC team, close to a title, say a Dallas, or Philly.

Dark horse for me is Detroit...who are closer than some think

was a great Draft pickup and the Lions was an excellent place for him to land. Add a shutdown quality corner in the backend........ it could be sweet!

Im a Dallas fan but I just don't think we can afford him. I would like to see Free resigned. With Nnamdi Asomugha off the wish list, we need a solid safety replacement or two thats more affordable. I think we can get more production from our corners with the new defensive scheme. I think last years defensive scheme couldnt have more predictable if they were sending in the defensive plays on giant flashcards from the sideline. Nnamdi Asomugha would be a dream addition but its more fantasy then reality I think.

i agree that the boys can't afford him, especially if what i hear about the potential cba is true--i.e., that dallas is already over cap and will have problems as is.

i'd love the eagles to grab him but even though the $$$ is there i'm not sure they'll want to pay that much for a 30 year old. it's not their history :dunno:

True, Eagles have had a long history of not coming anywhere near their cap. Dallas has alot of room to save money in released players. They do however have alot of players to resign. I could see a run at someone like Huff.. After that they gotta start asking if these free agents are better then what they already have. I can see Dallas standing by thier CB's but they need at least one safety and to resign Sensab. who will get a chance to test the waters first.

How old was Samuel when they gave him the big contract? Had to still be in his 20's right?

Its a dire need though. They need a cover guy on the otherside so they can do their normal blitz packages. there is a story floating today, where they plan to use more zone, and change how they run the line, with more pressure up the middle, but I don't buy it. Got to have a guy on the other side to play man to man.

If they don't get Asomugha, I hope they go for JJ from Cincy. PFT has them interested in Ike Taylor out of Pittsburgh.
