the performaces this year will be Steve Smith leading the team as the most consistent WR on the team. Nicks and Hixon will follow in production and be close. Nicks has the bigger upside. Hixon was used out of a necessity last year, the Giants know he's not a starter at this level.

When asked who will be the "breakout, under-the-radar" guy for the Giants this season, DL Chris Canty said rookie WR Hakeem Nicks.

Canty said he's been impressed by all the plays Nicks made in the vertical passing game in practice. But just how many snaps Nicks is on the field for is in doubt. He has at least Domenik Hixon and Mario Manningham to beat out for playing time.
