Okay here are the latest updates...
Detroit sent Stafford to Rams and Rams sent Goff back to them.
Philly sent Wentz to Indy
Houston - this situation is getting tight. Deshaun Watson has formally requested a trade, by reports he has not responded to any contact from the team since new GM and HC hired. However that has changed, per a few reports he did meet with new HC Culley yesterday and by report told Culley he will NOT play for Houston at all this year. Period. This suddenly gets a bit hotter.
Pittsburgh - Ben R. has a $41.3 million cap hit on team, they are cap strapped. Both Ben and Team has said they want Ben to stay, but Ben has to take a pay cut - please note, this is NOT a renegotiation to move money later, team is insisting he take a pay cut.
Seattle - This again is a tough situation. Per reports any input Russell Wilson has tried to put in to improve the offense has been ignored. At one point last year he stormed out of a meeting when he was being ignored. He has NOT formally requested a trade. However, "people" close to him have told the team they may want to trade him. He has given a list to the team(per Adam Schefter) of 4 teams he would be willing to be traded to(he has a no trade clause). Those teams are - Raiders, Cowboys, Bears and Saints. He says he wants to play in Seattle, but wants more control of the offense.
New Orleans - Everyone still expects Brees to retire. He has reworked his deal to make $20+ in cap space for the team. By all reports HC has said he thinks the replacement for Brees is in house with Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston.
But Winston is a FA this year so they have to resign him. By all reports Brees is to tell the team very soon on his plans.
NY Jets - Per reports the team has been silent on Sam Darnold. They have listened to offers for him, but have not stated he is available. Per reports they have said they are evaluating all the rookies in this draft to compare to Darnold to decide what team will do.
Dallas - Dak Prescott will be a FA in march. Per reports neither side has moved from their numbers and they are not close to a long term deal. No one knows how Dak will respond if he is tagged a 2nd time. Nor do they think he will sign a long term deal if he is. So this could be Dak's last year in Dallas.
Consensus top 5 Qbs in this draft - Trevor Lawrence(Clemson), Zach Wilson(BYU), Justin Fields(Ohio State), Trey Lance(N. Dakota St.), Mac Jones(Alabama).
