Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth has been charged with simple assault after turning himself in for a "road rage" incident last week.This had been expected all along, as Haynesworth made it clear that he would cooperate with authorities before fighting the charge in court. Both versions of the road rage story are believable. The other man claims Haynesworth lost his cool, got out of his truck, and threw a punch. Haynesworth's camp claims the other man knew it was the millionaire defensive tackle in the truck and escalated the situation in search of an easy payday. Haynesworth is scheduled to appear in Fairfax County Criminal Court on March 31.

A bit of an update here. Banks was not released Sun. He is still in the hospital with a tube in him to prevent his lung from collapsing. So this was not as minor as his agent has been saying but is probably still no big deal as far as next season goes.

Former NFL OG Claude Terrell was arrested Thursday, Feb. 17, and charged with beating and forcing sex on a Texas City woman at gunpoint, according to The Telegraph. Terrell was arrested in November for assaulting the same woman. He allegedly held the woman for seven hours Monday, Feb. 14, after the woman had dropped her children off at school. Terrell has been out of football since he was released by the St. Louis Rams in 2007 following an arrest for domestic violence. He is still on probation from that arrest and could face up to life in prison for the latest charges.

He's not going to play in the NFL again. Jolly, 28, was already under a league-imposed indefinite for being a prominent member of the Houston drug trade from 2006 through May of 2008. The former Packers starter was booked at 12:45AM early Friday after police discovered 600 grams of cocaine in his car following a routine traffic stop. It's a felony charge and will ensure that Roger Goodell does not lift Jolly's suspension anytime soon.
