Sad news: a KC fan died while attending the team's training camp today.
No word on her COD but alot of assumptions flying that it was heat related.

I'd be okay with that really. Know the qbs would hate it. But they already make insane amounts, teams get flagged for roughing on plays that look like ordinary plays. Qbs are often playing longer helped by rules that limit their hits. Rbs are getting paid less, taking a beating and having short careers. I get that they still make a good deal of money. But many are playing 5 seasons and they are done. Have lasting health issues and now are getting pinched on the few seasons they can play. On top of that you have the franchise tag that puts them on year to year. Owners are signing them as rookies, franchise tagging them twice, then the RBs career is done. At least with qbs. One the franchise tag is a ton more, then normally they still have a ton of value at the end of the franchise tag process.Couple of things, the issue is wear and tear on the position, not just pay. Owners aren’t stupid, you don’t over pay a RB that has an average life span of 5 years. They run into and through contact, they stay in and block on passing downs and they catch tons of balls in high contact areas. That is the reality. Not to be unfair to some incredible RBs but 9 times outta 10 the back doesn’t earn the money on his 2nd contract. So that would require a rework of current CBA, which will require players to give something up. In this, I would as an owner say ok we pay RBs higher on earlier contract but we now cap QB salaries
At this point it's just sad.DEN - Tim Patrick carted off the practice field today, assumed its a torn Achilles - guy cannot catch a break
Gambling laws are taken very seriously in states that have only recently allowed it.2 years in prison seems pretty harsh for just placing a bet
I have to assume some of this is betting to lose games and then playing to help throw the game. That is racketeering in some states2 years in prison seems pretty harsh for just placing a bet
