NFL News, Rumors, In/Out - 2 weeks before NFL draft

Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy was found dead Saturday night in Houston.

Lacy was accused of causing a crash that killed a 78-year-old man on Dec. 17 and then fleeing the scene without rendering aid or calling authorities. On Jan. 12, he turned himself in to authorities, was jailed and then released on $151,000 bail.

Lafourche (Louisiana) Parish Sheriff's Office records indicated that Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death and reckless operation of a vehicle. According to WAFB-TV, a grand jury was to begin hearing evidence Monday.

He had declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Facebook posts from local people in his neighborhood are saying he chose to end his own life.

Consequences will find you in this life or the next.

He was being chased by Harris County deputies last night and crashed...when deputies approached the vehicle they discovered he had a self inflicted gunshot wound.

I'm sorry but I have zero pity for him. Sad for his family.

Bears sign CB Kyler Gordon to a 3 year extension

So NCAA football is once again chaos, QB for UT Nico Iamaleava skipped practice wanting more NIL money. Team has since sent him packing to the transfer portal. So now college ball truly is semi-pro ball.

Courtland Sutton is optimistic on contract talks with Denver

Browns evidently have an insurance policy on Deshaun Watson, and could make back +$50 million from the deal they signed him to

Speculation Saints may move up to get Shedeur Sanders in this years draft with the report out that Derek Carr has a shoulder injury that may require surgery and make him miss some of not all of this year. Other reports have Saints talking to Aaron Rodgers now as well - uh oh Pittsburgh....

Patrick Peterson expected to retire a Cardinal today

Falcons re-sign CB Kevin King

Dolphins re-sign CB Kader Kohou

Seahawks have re-signed QB Drew Lock

Football in Ohio could get messy - State had a budget for this year that included funds for a new stadium for the Browns, the Govenor is against it and won't sign it. Bengals are also looking for state funds to help renovate their stadium, with a lease running out in 2026.

Chiefs re-sign LB Jack Cochrane

Colts have re-signed TE Mo Alie-Cox

Browns have signed FA DL Julian Okwara

Dallas - so per reports Dak Prescott still has not fully recovered from his hamstring tear - usually weeks and it has bee 5 months. Also Micah Parsons has shown up for off season start

OK...been a bit...

Ravens GM is dodging the question on new extension for Derrick Henry - He stated "we have a lot of balls in the air right now..." Hmmm Wonder if he wasn't happy when Harbaugh spouted off about an extension in the works at ownership meetings

Dolphins have given CB Jalen Ramsey permission to seek a trade partner - sounds like he is gone either way....

Patriots new HC Mike Vrabel was asked about the Joe Milton trade. He stated they were doing the best thing for the team - rumors flying Milton was pushing to start over Maye as he felt he was better option...

Ravens GM also stated you can expect the team to draft at least one CB and one S this draft

Giants release DL Ross Blacklock

Steelers re-sign OL Max Scharping

NFL contemplating having player invitations to the draft for players not just expected to be first round picks but 2nd and 3rd round as well in the future.

Packers have no trade options as of yet for CB Jaire Alexander

So, as stated earlier Univ. of Tenn QB Nico Iamaleava skipped practice demanding more NIL money(he was getting $2.4 million, wanted $4 million) HC has said no, cut him and took his funding and scholorship away. So Nico is going into the portal, but no one is buying, especially at the $4 million NIL number. In fact multiple schools have stated they will wait and see if he will drop to $1 million - Bad Bad decision Nico.

Travis Hunter has stated in an interview he may not want to play in the NFL if he can't keep playing both ways

Eagles have rumors of trying to trade Dallas Goedert, GM Howie Roseman has stated that decision doesn't effect their drafting plan, as they work to get best talent available per their board

GM for Ravens also dodging discussion on TE Mark Andrews who is on the last year of his deal

Dolphins have stated they are not seeking to trade Tyreek Hill

Giants have scheduled a private work out with Shedeur Sanders, and have also had a private work out with Jalen Milroe

Panthers GM - we are waiting and willing to talk to any team who want to jump before the Saints - Well done Sir!! Add value to your pick knowing the Saints need to go QB!! Well done!!

Speaking of which - more on Derek Carr - so he missed alot of last season due to broken hand - now rurmors are out the shoulder was also hurt last year, and it hasn't healed. Due to Carr's contract and guarantees the team could NOT cut him if he is injured, which is why the Saints did the contract redo they did to get cap help and keep Carr as they were paying him regardless and could not release him or trade him as he would fail a physical.

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers is in the last year of his current deal, and some rumors are flying he may want a new deal

Packers have re-signed TE John FitzPatrick

Maxx Crosby has accepted the role of asst. GM for Eastern Michigan University - now has a fall back once he retires from NFL

Browns have signed DL Julian Okwara

Dak Prescott's hamstring is still not healed - not a good thing to hear right now....

Over under for RBs in first round of this draft is 2.5 - I think take the under

Okay reports out now that some question whether or not Carr is really hurt. This may be a ploy to get released. He told the team he was open to being moved, then the team did the contract restructure. This just keeps getting messier and messier.

but now many insiders are saying Saints are majorly focused on a new QB in this draft at some point.

Bears sign LB T.J. Edwards to a 2 year extension

Tank Dell is off crutches as he works his way back from the devastating knee injury he had

Raiders OL Kolton Miller skipped voluntary work outs and stated he wants a new contract

Commanders and Washington D.C. are close to a deal for a new stadium on the old RFK stadium site - $3 billion to build

Titans made some roster cuts prior to the coming draft - players released - LB Curtis Bolton, WR Stanley Morgan, DT McTelvin Agim, DT Isaiah Iton, DB Gervarrius Owens and OG Logan Bruss

NFL has suspended 49ers OT Isaac Alarcon for six games - for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drug rules

Giants GM stated - never can have enough pass rushers when asked about Abdul Carter, also stated they are getting calls on the #3 spot - just my opinion, but you need a ton of help and if you are NOT going QB, take a trade back and get extra picks to rebuild
