Been speculated but haven’t heard anything more than that. Keep hearing he wants to stay in NY.
Chargers don't have cap space for him, I have heard Houston is going to push for him and they have a ton of cap space to pay him

I think Eckler ends up resigning with the Chargers on a reasonably cheap deal. Harbaugh likes his vets and last year was a shiot show with the ankle injury and then the horrible line play. Probably draft a RB as well.

Seems the press his having apoplexy on this deal, since He potentially could have made more money if he had taken the tag money this and next year. Most are doing napkin math and assuming he will get less than that. Here is the thing, what if he really, really wanted to be a Bear, and was willing to take less to help the team? Not unheard of, but now he will get crap for it, as will his Agent.
