Unless they need to free up cap space immediately, no reason for SF to not play this out until the draft to see if a trade can be made. Plus, they can still restructure Jimmie Ward if they need some additional cap space.
If they decide they want to go in on someone like Gilmore, then that might change. Kind of odd Gilmore hasn’t signed yet. Word is his market isn’t what he expected, but maybe he is waiting for after the draft to sign a deal.
Just to clarify, this is the option raised by Eagles and Colts, this means even if first team scores a TD or FG, the other team will get at least one try to also score. If 2nd team scores more they win, if they tie, it goes to sudden death and the next team to make any score wins.
Again, this change goes into effect for 2022 and ONLY in the playoffs

WAS - per Goodell Daniel Snyder is still not involved in any day to day decisions for the team, and will remain so until Goodell changes that.
