second-year receiver Jon Baldwin has had some great practices with Bowe AWOL from camp. Plus there are reports that Cassel is actually looking good in the early going.

Now that's good because there's not much behind him on the bench.

Mike Lombardi says that he has "learned" that Locker is the favorite to open the season as the starting QB for the Titans.
 
TE John Carlson sprained his MCL today and is expected to miss a few weeks. This could be the opening that Rudolph TE needs to move up draft boards into the tE 1 area.
 
Rookie RB Bernard Pierce has been sidelined by a hamstring injury. This will set him back as he battles to become the backup RB for the Ravens.
 
Ryan Mathews substained minor injuries near midnight Monday in a two-vehicle collision near San Diego. Alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a part. After complaining of pain he was taken to the hospital.
 
Nick Toons had a fantastic day at camp for the Saints according to the folks at WWL radio. It's about time my sleeper does something after several reports of bad to not so good days.
