Reports say that Cowboys rookie receiver Cole Beasley was simply amazing in practice and he may be too good to risk placing on the practice squad for fear another team might snap him up.

Bears rookie tight end Evan Rodriguez received high praise from several following his practice. He's a big body TE that's drawing some high profile comparrisons to the elites at that position.

Alex Green appeared to work out with no problems at the Packer Camp Thursday.

Harvin did show up on time for camp never mind the earlier threats to hold out.

Steelers cut off negotiations with Wallace and say he must report to camp if he's ever going to get a new deal.

Lunch plead not guilty.

"Justin Blackman wasn't at the opening day of camp for the Jags and is now a hold out."

Apparently, so is Jones-Drew?

Also, it seems as though the Jags are seeking verbiage in the contract to protect themselves from the average stupidity, and in this instance the massive stupidity of a person already with a DUI, and that is a sticking point for the player right now....

I can't blame them for wanting that included in the paperwork. Fool me once, shame on you- fool me twice, shame on me.

Bowe was a no show as the Chiefs opened camp today. Why? They can't give him a long term extension now. If he wants to play he'll have to sign his tender or he can sit at home all season. Why is this guy so thick between the ears?

AP & Hakeem Nicks have both been placed on PUP by their respective teams. They're eligible to come off the list at any time but can't do any practices with their team until they are removed. If they're still on the list before the regular season then they're forced to miss at least the first six weeks of the year. It's disappointing for AP who had set a personal goal of being ready for the start of training camp.

Coach Mike Munchak said at the start of camp that they plan to decide on a starting quarterback by the third preseason game.

I vote Locker.

Coach also stated that the Titans do not intend to release troubled WR Kenny Britt.

Atlanta coach again stated at the start of camp that they plan to reduce Turner's workload this season stating that 300+ carries in three of the last four years is too many. I agree.

Jordan Shipley (ACL surgery) was placed on active/PUP. The website for the Bengals has stated that he may stay on PUP into the regular season which would cost him at least six games if it happened.

Jahvid Best was placed on active/PUP to start Lions camp. Those must have been some really bad concussions he suffered. He is elgible to come off of the PUP list at any time before the season gets under way.

Knowshon Moreno passed his training camp physical, but was wearing a knee brace and did not take part in team drills. I liked what I read about him, "you can't make the club in the tub."

Kendall Wright, Ryan Tannehill and Justin Blackmon are all first round draft chices that are now considered to be training camp holdouts. Tannehill is staying in shape in Florida so he won't have far to travel if they reach a deal. Wright's contract is stalled because last year's 20th pick received a fully guaranteed contract from the Bucs so he wants nothing less for himself.
