Why wouldn't he have done this 5 or 6 weeks ago?
He is likely to be cut as the cap hit won't be too bad and then become an UFA. How healthy he is perceived to be will affect his next contract big time.
Cam is a selfish person and has always been. It's "look at me" Cam. I think he is done as a true QB 1 in the NFL.
Do we know this for sure? Not denying that Cam is a bit of a head case and focused on Cam, but I am wondering if the team pressured him to try and work through the injury. I also wonder if he has a fear of surgery, as he pushed off the shoulder work til he had no choice. Who knows?
