CIN - re-signs back up Qb Brandon Allen

NFL - per stories, cap expected to be about $183 million

Ten players got the Franchise Tag: Taylor Moton OT CAR, Allen Robinson Wr CHI, Justin Williams S DEN, Cam Robinson OT JAC, Marcus Williams S N.O., Leonard Williams DL NYG, Marcus Maye S NYJ, Chris Godwin Wr TB, Brandon Scherf OL WFT and evidently Dallas Tagged Dak but got contract done in time.

NYG - starting discussions on if they want to exercise the 5th year option on Saquon Barkley or not. Stating some concerns on his coming back from his injury. This is the last year on his rookie deal, the option year would be for 2022

ESPN's Chris Mortenson while on Rich Eisen's show, stated he fully expects Drew Brees to retire, has heard no proof that Brees is thinking of coming back. He also said he believes Payton and Brees have talked and know the decision. He added that the Saints are ready to move on, and is not sure if Brees did come back its a given he would play for Saints.

That's a F ed up pay scale. Barkley gets 7 million as the #2 pick, my guess is because he missed most of last year. Guy was really good his first two years. Now makes 4 million less than DJ Moore and Calvin Ridley
