LB Vontaze Burfect passed his physical and will start practicing with team - still has 4 game suspension to get through

So you can't buy the possibility that they are concerned about the kid's mental health and do not want him to rush back before he's mentally ready? Hmmm.

this goes against what was posted earlier by ESPN and other sites. He was offered $16 million a year, which would make him the #6 wr, he wants big money and the Agent has left NY after week of face to face.

I don't know. What does his contract status have to do with that huh? I get they can't rush him back, but this was his decision, not the team's or the leagues.

It comes back to do they truly care about his mental health. Kid was worried about losing that year and was considering leaving his treatments to get to camp by tomorrow and the loving family known as the Browns said don't sweat it kid. Get yourself right for the season, we've got your back. Unlikely in today's world but not out of the realm of possibilities. Hey, it could have happened just that way. :) It'd be a very Christian thing to do in a business situation.

Word is that TB wants Godwin as their #2 WR for a multitude of reasons. Desean being forced to the slot.

This isn't going to work. Desean has an ego. He's not going to like taking the bench in 2 WR sets. Desean also can have a case of the alligator arms. Going across the middle all the time won't fit.

You are assuming they keep DeSean. I have no idea of his cap hit, but right now they are locked on Evans as #1 and Godwin as #2. Jackson in the slot actually could work as he still has some speed, and the quick hit crosses could help him, but I agree he may pull attitude and that will probably mean his departure.

- Minnesota is working though O-line injuries and that means new Qb Cousins will be having to work behind a make shift line during the pre-season - good way to lose a high priced FA QB...
- So now we are getting the run around on OBJ negotiations....many sites had the deal was not close, due to the offer of only about $16 million a year, but now they are saying it would include this years salary also, which kicks it up. Per new sources - the deal is relatively close to being completed, but the sticking point may be how much is guaranteed up front similar to what Cousins got.
- Saints leaving door open for Wr Coleman to return once he is healthy.....
- Burfect LB Cin will get pre-season reps before he has to sit for his suspension
- Cle has put Landry and rookie Wr Antonio Calloway as the top two Wrs on its initial depth chart with Rashard Higgens and Jeff Janis as the backups - may be why Coleman was expendable?
- On a side note - Starting Qb is Tyrod Taylor, but the #2 is Baker Mayfield with Vet Drew Stanton as #3.
- As can be expected the Dallas passing game has struggled during camp with the loss of Wr Bryant and Te Witten....and some accuracy issues from Prescott. Keep an eye on this, if Prescott really struggles it may make it even harder for Elliot to get free....
- Dolphins have signed Rb Jeremy Langford for depth as a FA
- There were some concerns with the trade of Wr Coleman by Cleveland that they might move Rb Duke Johnson to Wr, HC Hue Jackson shot that down quickly that there will be no move, and they intend to use Duke alot.
- NYJ intial depth chart has McCown at #1, Bridgewater at #2 and Darnold at #3, but reports from camp have been glowing for Darnold and many feel he has a real shot to start game one.
- IDP owners heads up - Rookie Derwin James is practicing with the #1s at both strong and free safety!!
- No expectation of Aaron Donald coming in to camp any time soon, so he COULD not be RFA next year, but then again he could get tagged. Rams and he are not close in last report.
- Uh oh, Cardinals lost starting center A. Q. Shipley to torn ACL and will miss the whole year...not great with a fragile Qb like Bradford.....

More depth chart news and such...
Denver currently has Booker as #1 rb, with Freeman #2
Arizona had Bradford as the #1 Qb, and Rosen as the #2 but Rosen has started getting practice with the #1s lately.
