NCAA punishment of Penn State, fair or not.

If the NCAA wanted to send a message of its support for the victims, how about partnering with a child abuse organization? Forcing Penn St to partner with one?

Both the NCAA and Big Ten financial penalties are to go to child abuse organizations.

Lifetime ban's for those coaches involved?

Of the two known coaches involved - one is dead and the other will be in prison until he is dead.

Offering up scholarship funds for the victims?

Actually offering something worth 50 thousand or so would seem very self serving since the victims will get millions from Penn St

Penalties to child abuse organizations? That is a real demonstration of their sincerity. /sarcasm. I do not find that their actions are congruent with an organization intent to address the situation in good faith. Money is great, no doubt, but a more sincere and contrite organization would devote far more to that cause.

And what of Mike McQueary? Tim Curley? Why are they left out of this?

Offering scholarships is not at all self serving, its the bare minimum, in fact they should be establishing a scholarship program for kids who have been subjected to this. But that is not the goal here, to help kids, its to protect the billions of value behind the NCAA.
