rotoworld,
Brian Stull of ESPN 101 St. Louis reports that the Rams, Dolphins, and Chiefs are all "very interested" in supplemental draft prospect Harvey Unga.

The Steelers are reportedly also giving him a look. The Rams drafted a back similar to Unga in Brian Leonard in 2006, and couldn't figure out how to use him. We'll be interested to see how Unga runs at his Pro Day next month. While Unga was a highly productive college player, Brigham Young hasn't produced a decent running back since Vai Sikahema in the mid-1980s.

I had him in the SO College league last year. He's a great pass catcher and put up very good #'s 2 years ago. Last year not so much.

Wow I just read that myself from Joe Bryant. I wonder whet the pemalty would have been if he'd have gotten the gal and I am assuming that the premarital sex was with a girl, pregnant? Death by firing squad?

rotoworld,
The Dolphins will be in attendance at Harvey Unga's Pro Day, confirms the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Unga, who withdrew from BYU in April because of an honor code violation, has applied to enter the July 15 supplemental draft. The Dolphins are reportedly just doing their "due diligence,," just like many other teams will be doing.

Unga??? I guess I just don't get it.

  • Dude states he's okay with a backup role??? That's pretty cool of him since he didn't get drafted. I know undrafted guys can come thru, but this guys press has been a bit much.

-- Versatile Unga Okay with Backup Role --
    Mon Jul 12, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
  • In an interview with Brian Stull on 101ESPN.com, supplemental draft prospect RB Harvey Unga (5-11, 244, BYU), Unga proclaimed his versatility. "Most of them have been telling me I'm going to be playing running back," said Unga. "I can be the third down back -- and that can be 3rd and short or 3rd and long. They think it'd be great to have a big guy like me even on a 3rd and long play where if they need to throw me the ball they know I'll catch it and make the best of it. There's a lot of different things I believe teams will be able to use me for." Unga caught 92 passes over his last three seasons with the Cougars. The St. Louis Rams were one of 20 teams in attendance for Harvey's workout last week. And while it's clear the Rams have some interest, any back that is brought in will be on the depth chart behind RB Steven Jackson. That's no issue for Unga. "It's funny you mention Steven Jackson," shared Unga. "In our film for the running backs, we actually have film on him. That's one of the running backs we watch and learn about--I love watching him play. I think if anything, it'd be an honor to even be back there in the same backfield as him. It'd be a great honor. For me, it's a learning experience -- I know my place and know where I'll be when I come into camp."

RC he wasnt in the main draft because he was trying to get back into BYU. Depending on the landing spot he could be a TD vulture.

He ran both of his 40-yard dashes at 5.23 seconds, the three-cone drill in 7.71 seconds and the short shuttle in 4.74 seconds. He measured an 8-foot-10 broad jump, a 29-inch verical jump and completed 22 reps on the 225-pund bench press. Representatives from 18 teams attended the workout including personnel directors from the San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions.

I believe that he had premarital sex and was dismissed for it RC. Go figure!
He was dismissed from BYU on a morals code violation, which is what Mud says here. He was appealing, and thus missed the main draft.
