Moreno Has Sprained Knee

I wouldn't quite poo-poo this as being inconsequential just because it's not considered a major injury.
This team is carrying an assload of RB's and missing the rest of the preseason plus all that practice time puts KM squarely behind the power curve. Actually he was already because of his holdout, but this pushes his development back even more.

I really like his long-term potential to be a top-caliber RB, but it's looking more and more to me that his final stats this season will look much closer to 2008 Darren McFadden as opposed to 2008 Chris Johnson.

buckhalter and jordan aren't slouches either . . . even after shanahan, the bronco's rb starter remains a mystery (at least for those of us drafting at the moment . . . lol) . . . ;)

buckhalter helped me into the playoffs my 1st yr in ff , as i became a friend of the waiver wire rather quickly . . . lol . . . ;)

Especially with the damage going at QB, Id expect Moreno to be brought along slowly and carefully this season.

No one is questioning his toughness, but I wouldnt throw him under the bus this year if the OB situation is that bad.

Moreno will be fine. Lets remember the NE rb model:

S.Morris = Moreno
Maroney/Jordan = Jordan/Hillis
K.Faulk = Buckhalter

The two to target are Moreno and Buckhalter

He's not 100% but says he's close and "feels real good"

Is he a risky option this weekend vs the Bengals?

I'm on the fence, his workload is unknown and I feel like they'll ease him into the starting role.

I'm letting him slide this week despite the nice match-up and my weak replacements.

I just don't see him getting many touches.

FOOTBALL!
I have no choice but to start him. I am in a 14 team league that starts two QBs & has 6 points for passing TDs, so I punted on RBs to make sure I got the QBs.

I got Wells & Moreno starting week one.

I would not start him if you have other options. He might come in and explode but the more likely scenario is he shares touches with Hillis and/or CBuck.
