Dont feed the Fat Carcus, there is no way any NFL team is going to pay him.

There cant be that much improvement in such a short amount of time since being cut by the Raiders

Former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was arrested in Alabama on Monday for possession of a controlled substance, the Mobile Press-Register reported.
Mobile police spokeswoman Lori Myles said the substance was codeine syrup. Russell was arrested at his home during an undercover investigation.

LMAO!!! This is just icing on the cake. First he gets MILLIONS for doing NOTHING, then he goes and likely lets Mobile PD and the Feds seize it all!

McDonalds for this young man, and not just for burgers this time.

The Mobile PD has nothing better to do than do an undercover sting operation for cough syrup? Just pathetic.

(Rotoworld) Free agent JaMarcus Russell still has an open invitation to sign with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks. Analysis: Russell is going to wait and see if he gets any nibbles from NFL teams, but he'd be wise to simply give up and take Omaha's offer. After his arrest for possessing codeine syrup, no NFL team is going to take a shot on him. Russell needs to rehab his image on and off the field in the minors.

What a moron, his chance of an NFL team taking him now is a high risk situation.

You had your shot and f*^cked that up, take your codeine and drink yourself to death.

Yep. Nothing better to do that investigate illegal felony possession of highly abused prescription narcotics.

From Joe Bryant,

Free-agent QB JaMarcus Russell (Raiders) might still find work in the NFL this season, reports Jason La Canfora, of NFL.com. Russell may be exonerated on charges over illegal possession of codeine, according to some close to Russell. A few teams have remained in contact with him.

He is a good risk at the league minimum if a team thinks they can straighten Russell out, but there are also lots of harder working, but less talented QBs that are more likely to deliver returns for the work a team puts into them than Russell out there.

Perhaps JaMarcus is sharing the cough syrup with ole Joe now????

Seriously he makes some sort of sense with his statement above, I think... Doesn't he?

Here's a story for Double Ought Seven from rotoworld,
Free agent QB Jamarcus Russell admitted in an on camera ESPN interview that he used codeine without a prescription in the past.

Russell said that tested positive for codeine shortly after the Raiders made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft. However, he says that he has not used codeine in three years even though rumors persist that he took "Purple Drank" throughout his time in Oakland. Russell was arrested in July for alleged possession of codeine but a friend is claiming the substance belonged to him.
