I wonder what Tolbert and Mathews combined stats are.
Ask and ye shall receive, 1 point per reception, 1 point per 10 yards, 6 points per TD, -2 points for each fumble:
Matthews: 86 car, 379 yds, 2 TDs - 15 rec, 92 yds, 0 TDs, 3 FBLs - 67 pts
Tolbert....: 87 car, 395 yds, 7 TDs - 14 rec, 99 yds, 0 TDs, 2 FBLs - 100pts
Combined: 173 car, 774 yds, 9 TDs - 29 rec, 191 yds, 0 TDs, 5 FBLs
Sproles..: 27 car, 134 yds, 0 TDs - 29 rec, 267 yds, 1 TD, 2 FBLs - 70 pts
Combined: 200 car, 908 yds, 9 TDs - 58 rec, 458 yds, 1 TD, 7 FBLs - 237pts
Now Matthews isnt helping much with his injury BS this year, but you see the stats are identical...till you get to the 5 more TDs Tolbert has snagged.
When people drafted Matthews, it was with the anticipation he would be seeing most, if not all of those 173 carries, and that would have rewarded you thus far with around 167 points. To put that in perspective, Frank Gore is sitting around 155 points this year.
As it is now you never know which one is going to haul the rock from week to week. Matthews certainly was taken way to high in redraft formats. Dynasty the jury is and will be out for awhile, but as long as Tolbert is still there vulturing away scores and carries, Matthews will never have real RB1 value.
