I'll disagree on only one point Phic. Olsen is one of the BEST receiving TE's in football, but he's almost a liability as a blocker. He's the first of his kind that Martz has inherited, because Davis chronically underachieved due to work ethic issues and instability at QB up until last year. I'm not saying this offense is suddenly going to make us forget his Rams teams, but they'll be vastly improved and Cutler should easily return to 4,000+ yard territory.
As for the weather debate, 2 of their divisional opponents play in domes, so depending on the scheduling that should really only be a factor for 4'ish games per year. At Detroit and At Minnesota should always be scheduled in December, with At Green Bay happening in September, if the NFL had a heart. LOL

I thought Minnesota was building a new stadium that was open air? Not dome. So that goes down to only one game divisional in a dome.

Still, see your point.

But I would argue the issues with Davis was NOT just his. I think it the offense as well. That he was under utilized might have made the situation for Davis worse.

Okay, explain exactly what you mean here please.

Everyone thought once he got to Detroit they would explode...and only one Wr really did. Oh, and it wasn't Roy Williams.

Then in San Fran they had the stud TE and Rb to make this offense fly.....and he didn't really use either.

Chicago has talent. They have a solid Te who could be spectacular if used. A Rb that has incredible ability catching the ball. They have some young and unproven Wrs....Oh, Hester AIN'T one of them by the by ;) ......

Yes they need to fix the o-line. Just not sure Knox and Bennett and whomever are the right receivers for his offense.

and no, he WON'T change his offense for the players. He doesn't do that.

i'm not trying to convince you . . . i'm just stating my opinion . . . i guess we'll all just have to see now won't we . . . ;)
