McNabb hurt, perhaps waiver wire?

I have David Garrard as my back up to McNabb...Garrard faces AZ and @HOU in his next 2 starts...but I could also go for some waiver wire arms:

Waiver Wire has:

1. Shaun Hill -
2. J. Campbell -
3. Quinn

Of the 3 it appears Campbell has 2 good matchups over the next couple weeks with STL and @DET ... Shaun Hill has SEA and @MIN, but does play STL in week 4.

I am wondering who the Outlaws think is my best option in case McNabb is down for a couple weeks.

AZ and Houston aren't juggernaughts but Campbell would be a good fill-in. Of the two you may be better off holding onto Garrard. Campbell isn't blowing anyone's skirt up so far. Pedestrian at best even in STL and DET could make him look all world.

Campbell also had to play against the NYG defense week 1, however I didn't watch the game so I don't know if he just played like crap or if it was because of the defense

I'm in the same boat with Trent Edwards as my back-up to McNabb, went and grabbed J.Garcia in my $$ dynasty league as a little insurance.

With all the talent the Eagles have that might be a good way to go, he did OK in 2008 with the Bucs.

If you have the roster space Garcia should be a decent pickup. However, if McNabb is a game time decision you better be ready to make the change.

I currently have Favre for a backup to McNabb, mainly because I was drinking heavily at my draft. The thought of 4 facing his old team on McNabbs bye seemed like the thing to do in round 11. Havent made a move because in this league we are only aloud 2 QBs per roster so I'm going to stidck with #4 this week anyway against the Lions, and see how McNabb comes along.

Understand the drinking at draft for sure :)

However, I do have Garrard as my B/U on roster already and I have the #3 WW ranking spot, so I am reluctant to use it simply on a Campbell flier b/c I cant imagine that anyone wants Campbell off the wire enough to spend their ww position, but if they do take him I am likely to snag Shaun Hill -or- Jeff Garcia. The prob with Garcia is the whole G.T.D. issue. And having said that Garrard has what on paper looks like a good matchup against AZ at home in Jax.

On the other hand, Campbell has two meaty matchups in weeks 2 and 3 against STL and DET....decisions, decisions....

Make that three of us. I am in a 13 team points league where we start two QBs. I was smart enough to load up on the QBs during the draft. Edwards moved up to starter & Stafford becomes the back-up (Brady is other starter). Not sure I'll get Garcia. Waivers open tomorrow & my first claim is for Cadillac Williams, who I have a decent shot getting with the #3 waiver position.

I am also done drafting McNabb. It isn't worth it, you get burned every year.

if i were you i would look at picking up jeff garcia...has a good supporting cast, he knows the system, and has a good matchup

Very true, but a couple things worry me about that situation.

1st off you have the dreaded G.T.D. and they could drag on for a couple months if not more assuming he tries to play with those injured ribs.

Secondly you have to consider that even if McNabb tries to play, he could very easily take a hit that would put him back on the sidelines for the rest of the game.

What a crappy injury to have happen week 1.
