(RotoWire) According to ESPN, McCoy is out indefinitely due to the fractured rib he suffered during Sunday's loss to the Redskins. Analysis: This report is somewhat surprising considering that the initial thought was that McCoy would be able to play against the 49ers on Sunday, so we'll wait for official word from the Eagles before jumping to conclusions. Mike Bell would most likely start if McCoy was out, but Eldra Buckley could see a fair share of the touches as well.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, the Eagles are not looking to add a running back or a quarterback "right now."
The report would seem to indicate that LeSean McCoy (fractured rib) will miss one week at most and Michael Vick's (rib cartilage) 1-2 week timetable is also realistic. Don't look for a return of veteran Jeff Garcia or a trade for Marshawn Lynch. Mike Bell, Eldra Buckley, and Joique Bell will handle backfield duties this week if McCoy can't go.

(Rotoworld) The Eagles have not yet ruled out LeSean McCoy (rib) for Week 5, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. Analysis: La Canfora also states that the Eagles are not working out any running backs because they hope to have McCoy back in 1-2 weeks. It seems very unlikely he'll suit up this weekend, and even if he does, his workload would be limited. However, the short timetable for return would seem to lessen the chances they'd go after Marshawn Lynch. Mike Bell will fill in while McCoy is out.

(RotoWire) McCoy (cracked rib), who did not practice Wednesday, could practice Thursday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Analysis: Coach Andy Reid has expressed optimism that McCoy could play Sunday against the 49ers, but we'd feel a whole lot better about that possibility if he is able to get some practice in by the end of the week.
