I know, I know, old news by like 4-5 days, but damnitt...

here's his presser: YouTube - Villanova's Matt Szczur MLB/Chicago Cubs Press Conference -- Jan. 20, 2011

This kid had some rad talent. could play wild cat, wr, rb, and return kicks/punts. really special and under rated talent.

went for the money. he loved both sports, and went for the sure thing. pretty smart choice actually, considering white running backs pretty much don't exist and white receivers are slot receivers or special teamers.

still, sad to see him go pro in a sport other than football.

Some people think that Bo Jackson would have been a Hall of Fame baseball player if he hadn't played football and gotten himself hurt doing so. Maybe this kid realizes that the average football player plays only 2-3 seasons, whereas in baseball it is 5-6 years. He has a better chance to earn more money in baseball.
